Klaviyo automatically applies the necessary SPF (sender policy framework) and DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail)records when you have a dedicated sending domain set up for your account. When the CNAME records are added to your DNS, a subdomain is created and delegated over to Klaviyo to control and make use of. At this point, Klaviyo automatically adds the necessary SPF/DKIM records to set your account up to send emails using your own dedicated domain. If you have an ecommerce integration added to your Klaviyo account, you’ll see both Placed Order and Ordered Product events in your account. But what is the difference and why does Klaviyo include both?Placed OrderEvery order in your e-commerce store will generate one Placed Order event for the entire order. This event will include all line items, the value of the order, the categories or collections the products are from, item count, and other important information that pertains to the entire order. Placed Order value will equate to the total order value, including shipping and any applied discounts.Ordered ProductOn the other hand, Ordered Product events occur for each individual item ordered. DMARC stands for “Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance” and it is a policy designed to give domain owners the ability to protect their domain from unauthorized use, commonly known as email spoofing. A DMARC policy allows a sender to indicate that their messages are protected by SPF and/or DKIM, and tells an inbox provider the actions to take if either of those authentication methods do not pass. Inbox providers could either place the emails in the junk folders, block the message outright, or let the emails pass as normal depending on the policy in place. DMARC removes guesswork about the receiver’s handling of these failed messages, while limiting or eliminating the domain owner’s exposure to potentially fraudulent and harmful messages. DMARC also provides a way for email recipients to report back to the domain owner about messages that pass and/or fail DMARC evaluation. Hi,I am in the process of cleaning up our list, and while I have managed to improve openrate, clickrate, and revenue per subscriber, we are suffering from a high marked as spam rate.However, these are coming from Yahoo and Hotmail accounts.In the past 90 days, we have had 89 out of 49,139 emails marked as spam. However, of those 89, 61 are from Yahoo and Hotmail, who received 15,100 emails. That means around 30% of emails received 69% of our spam complaints.Could there be a reason for this? I would blame it on single opt-in, but the rate is going up, not down, after turning double opt-in on.I could also blame it on increased sending rate. However, I wrote a series of emails telling the subscribers how often I would send to them, so it is a predictable twice a week on average.So, considering these spam complaints are coming from Yahoo and Hotmail over other emails by a huge amount, what could the problem be?As an aside, gmail has the highest unsubscribe rate. On the overview dashboard, the preset cards “Conversion by Channel” and “Conversion Summary” show Klaviyo Attributed Revenue. The numbers there do not match up with figures reported by metrics like Placed Order, Ordered Product, Fulfilled Order, etc. How is this calculated? Additionally, when I try to create a custom report for one of the metrics mentioned above and group them by Attributed Message/Flow (to get metrics for campaigns and flows respectively), I get a row with an empty Attributed Message/Flow, and the Attributed Message/Flow Name is “Unknown ()” What is this attributed to? I thought it was referring to the unselected grouping (e.g. Unknown refers to Message when grouped by Flow) but the numbers don’t add up.

Hi, I’d opened this topic on GA forum but hadn’t got any responses. First, I will share what I wrote on this topic. We have an issue with the data coming from Klaviyo. I will try to demonstrate with some screenshots. I can assure you that all the UTMs on Klaviyo correctly working. We have some campaigns have been sent as well as automated flows sending regularly. Though I am able to review campaigns on GA, I cannot see the orders/revenue coming from flows. Plus, it shows the source as "Unassigned". When the revenue comes from Flows it was showing the source as "Direct". However, I resolved this since the problem based on the url ending with "/" slash. Now, this one is fixed but we just got an order from the flow but it shows source/medium as Klaviyo / campaing. It needs to be klaviyo / flow. Also, the rest of the problems still going on. And then I will explain what I go through currently. I’ve just changed the default UTM’s by referring to these 2 topics. You can see the default
