Hello

I have checked an email I sent myself regarding my abandoned carts, and have realised that the link button to take them back to my website doesn’t work.

May someone please be able to help me, thank you.

I am worried this has cost me alot of lost income.

Hi @kateinglishdesigns !

Were you able to get this resolved? If you are using the Shopify Checkout Started metric, then the {{ event.extra.checkout_url }} variable should link a customer back to their cart. Please note, if a customer has proceeded with placing their order or are no longer cookied on the site, they will be redirected to your sites home page.

If you are still being led to the none/ url, I would suggest trying in a new incognito browser to see if that resolves the issue. If not, please let me know!

Hello @kateinglishdesigns ,

I understand how frustrating this issue can be, especially when it could mean lost sales. The problem likely comes from a broken or incorrect URL in your abandoned cart email settings.

To fix this, check your Klaviyo or Shopify email template and ensure the button links to the correct cart recovery URL. If you're using Klaviyo, the link should be:
👉 {{ event.extra.checkout_url }}

If you'd like expert help to quickly fix this and recover lost sales, I’m here to assist you. Let’s get this resolved now! Feel free to reach out.

Best regards,
Adunni

When you say it doesn’t work, do you mean you get a 404 error, or that you’re taken to an empty cart page?

A quick search brings up this topic, which sounds a little similar - does that help at all?

Hi @Adunni

Thank you for reaching out. Yes that is he correct link, but it still isn’t working.

This is what comes up in the URL when I click through from my email link

Is this a preview email send, or did you setup a test where you were enrolled in the Flow and you were sent the email?

Just thinking about how profile properties don’t always populate via preview, only when they’re sent to a real profile. I’m not as experienced with the Shopify integration to know if it’s the same with that.
