Hey all!

My name is Vítor and have a publishing company, focused on buddhist books, here in Brazil.

I am really passionate about publishing books that can be of benefit and I feel that not only the books, but also the way my company communicates, can bring some joy.

I am the only person working at the company for 7 years. I coordinate the books (talking to translators, proofreaders, designers...), the shopify store, campaigns, social media. Not an easy task!

I love that I can work with my passion!

I am so glad to have this space for exchange and learning!

sure thing! I will be around… I know klaviyo has massive potential that I didn’t yet quite discover. So, yes… i will be checking in to see what’s up!

p.s. Applauding you for picking up piano! I downloaded an app recently to try and pick it back up but my fingers never know where to go! It is satisfying to see the incremental progress though, and be able to associate a note with a key. Keep up the great work!

I’m with you on the love of being on a small team.  I’ve worked in larger corporations and am currently in a family-owned business (about 40 people) and love having my hands in so many different parts of the business (and things happen much faster than at a large company!).

What I do:My name is Hershil and am the owner of an electrical bricks and mortar business (selling all the electrical bits that go into a building). I’ve been in this business for about 10 years now and we’ve been operating in the online B2C space for about 7 years with a mixed bag of results to say the least (spending over the top on acquisition and not devoting enough resource to retention). 

I’ve started using Klaviyo for the past year to limited effect as I tend to have too much to do and not enough time and the larger more profitable and generally more time consuming part of our business is NOT online. 

In any case, I’ve committed to devoting 20% of my efforts this year (starting 1.10.20 - I’m already 6 weeks behind :::((((( ) to our online operations part of which is trying to get better customer retention!

Who I am: Dad of 2, enjoy my sport and eating and drinking (don’t we all) and love my work!

What I would like from this forum: to connect with fellow business owners to share the challenges (and solutions) for online. More importantly, would be great to connect with marketing experts who can share their expertise to help better our busines.

I’m passionate about the automotive space and have been in the industry for over 5 years. The industry is very archaic however, and I love being able to bring technological improvements that are above and beyond the competition.

I’m Phill, 46, married to my wife Michelle, with 2 lads, John (8) and Joel (6, going on 16!) and I’m passionate about my faith, family, integrity in business, trading (not nailed that yet by any stretch), trying to surf in the UK (and failing!), producing electronic music (love Massive Attack), drumming and brewing the strongest cider I possibly can over the summer months from the apple trees in ours (and the neighbours!) gardens!

I also look after quite a few pets for the kids - a rescued slow worm, a rainbow budgie called “Tails”, 2 zebra danio and we’re just about to get 2 teddy guinea pigs for Joel, who loves animals and wants to be a zoo keeper when he grows up, whilst John wants to run a bakery in the zoo, that’s going to be in Cyprus, after an awesome family holiday in Paphos!!!

I head up partnerships for Segmentify, helping online brands with their agencies and consultants to optimise their personalisation and retention strategies with product recommendations, search, push notifications and email. The one thing I am super stoked about at the moment at work is that we’ve just built our Klaviyo integration after much research with the Klaviyo team, to further empower their User Profiles with our machine learning to optimise conversion by facilitating true, real-time, 1 to 1 personalised email campaigns, created directly from within Klaviyo, yay!!!

I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone here and hopefully being able to contribute in some way!
