Deleted profiles added back to account

I had a large email list added a while back from some giveaway. I had spent the past few months really cleaning up the list and had deleted a load of spammy account and just other unengaged profiles. Yesterday i noticed all these profiles added back into my Klaviyo. I am not sure how their data can be recovered as i had deleted them, not just suppressed them. I tried creating a list based on people not in my other engaged lists etc, however it did not register any profiles? I am really unsure how i am supposed to get rid of these profiles and do not want to pay for a load of profiles i have already deleted.

Thank you for posting in the community.

If profiles you deleted (not just suppressed) are showing up again, it’s likely they were re-added through an integration, an API sync, or an old import that got reprocessed. I’d recommend checking if some integrations are adding these profiles back into your account. 

 

Another thing you could do is - instead of deleting profiles in bulk, suppressing them ensures they can’t be emailed again (and won’t count toward your bill). Klaviyo treats deletions differently, which might be part of why the have resurfaced. Remember that you only pay for active profiles, so it could solve the problem if you make sure to suppress them.

Ok, i have tried to segment profiles created after the 9th, where i had all these profiles added back, however it is not registering any of these profiles. I am not sure how i can segment these profiles as no filters seem to register them?

have managed to finally sort out the old profiles into a list and suppress them. Thanks
