Issues exporting subscriber lists/segments

Hi, I’m trying to export my subscriber lists to CSV, but every time it says “temporarily unable to upload the list of properties in your account” This is a free account if that makes any difference. Any suggestions before I spend ages downloading each one manually? Thanks!

Hi ​@NikkiB , welcome to the Klaviyo Community and I am happy to help troubleshoot your question!

First, I have a few questions about the issue you are encountering. 

  • Can you share a screen shot of this error message, and where you are seeing it within the Klaviyo platform?
  • You are trying to export from the Lists & Segments section, correct? And if so, is it a list or segment specifically that you are trying to export? 
  • And just to confirm, you are trying to download the list, not upload a list? I wanted to confirm this since the error message you are receiving mentioned ‘unable to upload’.

Here are a few other items to look into within your account that may help solve the issue.

  • What permission level do you have within your account? Only Klaviyo users with owner, admin, or analyst-level privileges can export CSV files. If you are not at one of these levels, that may be causing the issue and you can ask your account owner to upgrade your permissions and try again.
  • If the list or segment you are trying to export continually has this issue, you can try to create a fresh segment of all profiles in your account and attempt a CSV export of that segment. Here is a great article with step by step instructions on how to do this. There are instructions in the article for downloading only those subscribed to email, only those not subscribed to email, or both.
  • Sometimes simply clearing the cache on your browser and logging out and logging back into your Klaviyo account can refresh your list or segment and clear the issue, but not always. It’s worth a shot!
