Issue uploading images to newsletter

Forum|alt.badge.img

I’m having issues uploading images to a newsletter template. I have followed all the usual tips, which include:

  1. Clearing my cache and, separately, trying to upload the images in private mode.
  2. Switching browsers (Chrome and Safari).
  3. Switching devices (Macbook, iPhone and Dell PC).
  4. Resaving the photos in an accepted format (JPG).
  5. Trying images other than the ones I want to upload in my newsletter.
  6. Saving the images in the Klaviyo asset library (from all three devices) as well as trying to upload them directly to the newsletter.

Each time, I get a message: “An error has occurred and unable to upload the image. Please try again.”

Any idea what’s going on? I’m on the verge to changing platforms. Small business owner here just trying to make things work.

Hi Hayley,

Thank you for your response. I figured it out this morning. My iCloud was full, which meant, somehow, the photo files were being corrupted.

I was able to use those same photos on other apps and platforms, but forever reason, Klaviyo rejected them. I took screenshots of the corrupted photos and used those as the images in my newsletter.

Cheers,

Blake

Hi Tula,

Thanks for reaching out to the community - I’ll try my best to help you resolve this.

Are you getting this message when trying to upload into one specific newsletter template? Have you tried starting a blank / new template and attempting to upload images?

Klaviyo-side issue, especially since you've tried multiple devices and browsers. Check if the image file size is too large—try compressing it with a tool like TinyPNG. Also, ensure you're not hitting Klaviyo’s storage limits. If the issue persists, try a different internet connection or VPN in case of network-related blocks. If none of that works, reach out to Klaviyo support—they might be experiencing server issues.

@Tula Woodworking - Just chiming in here, but it’s also possible that your images exceeded the size limits of Klaviyo causing it to error out. But glad you found a workaround!

Alas, the images were under the size limit. I just seems the platform is extremely sensitive.
