Not Seeing "Category or Collection" Dimension In Trigger Split

I'm not seeing category dimension in trigger split or conditional split.
I further checked and found that category is not being recorded in user profiles when someone ATC, checkout or places an order.

What should be the best way to go about it? What instructions should I give the developer?

P.S - The website is custom-coded. The flows are metric-triggered.
