Discrepancy between segment size and estimated recipient count

This is getting very frustrating, and I have opened 10+ tickets with Klaviyo support about it. Support is always great and when they log into my account it just magically fixes, but when there is a large queue of people ahead it hurts my business.

My current plan only allows for sending to 10k profiles at a time, so I tailor my lists to keep them under 10k. Any more and it forces my account to upgrade/will not let me send. Even with my lists under 10k, it shows that they are far over what they actually are and tries to force an upgrade. I have tried many different work arounds and have found nothing. This screenshot is after about an hour of waiting and refreshing. Here is an example.

Hey Raquel,

Thanks for your response. The issue has since fixed itself, but it took a few hours. Is this a common issue?

Hi @Evan118,

Thanks for posting! I understand how frustrating this is especially since it keeps happening.

Could you share the definition of the segment that you are sending to? I have seen many times the estimated recipient count is significantly lower than the segment size due to duplicate profiles, exclusions, unsubscribed contacts, and global suppressions but have never seen the opposite. To be safe, I would also go into your segment definition and make sure that you add the “someone is not suppressed” condition.

I hope this helps and am looking forward to looking over your segment definition!
