Question from the Live Session: What is the ideal content schedule for sending SMS messages?AND What is the difference in strategy & psychology of SMS vs Email, as email can be "quieter", and SMS can be more "annoying" if over used. (my opinion) When just starting out, we recommend 2-4 messages a month. That isn’t to say EVERY subscribers should receive 2-4 messages, rather you should be Segmenting to target customers based on engagement, interests, and actions on site. Once you have fully ramped up your SMS program, the best practice would be up to 7 Campaign messages a month. In addition to this, having high traffic Flows like Abandon Cart and Winback live with SMS is recommended.

How to set up a dedicated sending domain.

Happy to help! Here is a Loom that walks through how to set up in Klaviyo and get your DNS records that will need to be updated in your Domain Host ( GoDaddy, Google, etc). This Loom shows how to update the DNS records in your domain, in this example the customer is using a Big Commerce domain, you may want to check out this article for instructions on other examples.

How to set up a dedicated sending domain.

Hi there! Happy to help. You can find this Shopify Article which walks through the steps necessary. To start: Add a DNS recordFrom your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Domains. Click the domain that you want to configure. Click Domain settings > Edit DNS settings. Click Add custom record, and then select the record type that you want to add. Enter the required details for the record, and then click Confirm.Hope this helps!
