Can you please implement personalization fields in SMS quick responses?

Customer is Jonny Good. Instead of template: “Your order will be shipped within 48 hours.” Template “[FIRSTNAME], your order will be shipped within 48 hours.” will result in Jonny, your order will be shipped within 48 hours.

Will using Branded Sending Domain be mandatory?

Hi @blissy, for the most part Klaviyo is not really opinionated on what you do or how you send your emails.  They provide plenty of suggestions and recommendations, but the framework in general is fairly open ended to do whatever you please.  There are definitely guidelines and acceptable use policy in areas you’d expect, but if you want to send 25 cart abandonment emails, you can go do so at your own peril or risk.    However, when it comes to deliverability and compliance, both for Email and SMS, I think Klaviyo sets a lot of guard rails to protect you from yourself and clamp down on the occasional bad actors that choose to use Klaviyo as a tool for spam (or other nefarious deeds).  For example, you see evidence of this with “transactional emails” (that requires approvals for example), compliance with SMS “quiet hours” and requirements of disclosure languages, and of course strict management of suppressed/unsubscribes and requirement of unsubscribe links.  They also give plenty of t

Hey @blissy , Can you help me understand the use case of this a bit more? Why would you be sending the same email every X days? I would think email performance would pretty drastically drop after a couple of cycles of this.  Let me know what the use case is and hopefully the collective Klaviyo Community can come up with a good solution for it all!  Not necessarily every few days - can be every few weeks or months. Reminder/follow up. Also, it doesn’t have to be the same exact email every time - it can be a looped Flow.

Hi @blissy! I apologize for the delay here! Just to clarify, when you go to the Profiles section of Klaviyo, are there no first or last names in any of the profiles that go through Stripe? According to our Help Center article, although Klaviyo won’t create a profile with a name alone, it should pass that information from Stripe so long as the person filled out the first and last name fields.   If that’s the case, I would recommend reaching out to Support as this could be an account-specific issue with your integration.   Best, Brian Hi Brian,You might want to reread my post.  The new profile only has the customer’s email - the name is not passed even though Stripe has the customer’s name, and that’s what my post is about. What did Engineering say?

There was only 1 column but the problem is that some of the emails contained characters such as , and “Once I cleaned those up, it imported. I suggest the tech team edits the error message to make it more versatile and provide more potential reasons for the problem.

As I’m using the default Klaviyo-Stripe integration, this issue doesn’t seem like something I can tweak on my end but rather something that can be fixed by Klaviyo by tweaking something in the default integration. Could you consult the tech team on this?

Stripe API not passing customer names to Klaviyo?

Hello @blissy, Welcome back to the Klaviyo Community! In my experience, this sort of behavior isn’t only limited to Stripe. This experience is often times caused by the property fields are being collected, not aligning with how the data is recognized in Klaviyo as an acceptable property. For example, if the first name field via Stripe is being collected as “First_Name” or “First”, then it would not be recognized by Klaviyo. Instead, you’ll want the first name property to be stored as “First Name” in order for it to be considered a special property.  I would suggest reviewing your Stripe backend to make sure those properties being recorded are mapped to align with Klaviyo’s.  I hope this helps! David    I’m not sure what you’re referring to. I’m using the default Stripe integration.

How can I preview a Template with a Custom Property?

@blissy I see.. this is because you used the old editor to create the template and the email you are checking is just a template email. Well for the old editor you will need to put this template in some flow anyone that you have just add additional message and add this template. It can be in draft and you can remove it later but this will allow you to test properly. So once added in flow go in that email to edit it.. and then inside the edit option of an flow you will be able to pick an subscriber email (this should be the one with property you want to check) and then below you can add your email and pick the option Send as an email.  But in the new editor, I can do this in templates?

Can't put a period next to a Custom Property?

Hey @blissy, Welcome back to the Community! I would suggest double checking to see if your profile property value actually has a trailing space. Leading or trailing spaces can cause this odd behavior.  Whenever you’re referencing a custom profile property using a lookup filter, it’ll return the exact value of the property being referenced.  Custom Profile Property Template using {{ person|lookup:"Phone Type"|default:"" }}?​​​​​​What’s returnedI hope this helps! How can I preview a Template with a Custom Property?

@blissy In the preview and test section you have this option Search for a Profile.  So all you need to do is find a profile that has that property and pick it and then in the preview on the left side you should be able if the property is showing correctly or not    Nope, @Bobi N. not seeing this. This is all I’m seeing. Note, that I’m seeing this under the Template preview. Maybe you’re looking somewhere else.

If a certain type of email gets a very high Open Rate, should I send it via Klaviyo to improve deliverability on my whole Klaviyo account?

Because they’re requesting a free estimate and the email contains the estimate that they want 😁

Hi @blissy,  You are correct. You could also create another Gravatar account with the current email address that you have associated with your Klaviyo account. Whichever is easier for you!  ~Chloe  How can I test if it’s mailing using gravatar?

Hi @blissy,  Thanks for joining our Community and for the great question! To add a personal photo to your Klaviyo emails, you can use what’s called “Gravatar”. It’s a the third-party platform that allows you to create an account and add various profile information, such as a profile picture. This information is publicly available on the web. When you create an account with Klaviyo, we use the email associated with your account and automatically look for an associated Gravatar account. If we find one, we populate your Gravatar profile picture into your Klaviyo account. Here are the steps for setting it up: Log into Gravatar with the same email as your Klaviyo account. If you don't have a Gravatar account or need to make one with your Klaviyo account, you can make one for free. Click on the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner and drag in the photo you want to use for the account. Click Change My Photo and wait for the success message.
