How to update contact in a DOI (double opt in) list

Dear Alex! Thanks for having me. I’m with OptiMonk, a conversion optimisation company and we have multiple integrations wit providers from Klaviyo, Mailchimp to Emarsys - covering ecommerce merchants with various size, and providing them ways to do subscription and other campaigns.We have our own multi-page sign-up forms, and as I mention, we experience that with a standard email+phone setup, the flow is the following:visitors signs up with email » email gets sent immediately to Klaviyo from OptiMonks backend. visitors signs up with phone number too » phone (and email from the previous page) gets sent immediately to Klaviyo from OptiMonks backend. visitors confirms their email » email consent is visible in their Klaviyo profile but phone number is “blank”. It’ LOST in the process, because the phone was sent while the profile with the email was still not confirmed.Although when I’m collecting email and phone on the same page, and send them in ONE request for the first time, when the ema

Updating SMS Consent (Node.js Server-side)

@David To this is a great advice, thank you, first tests show quite promising results!However, an advice to you guys: I was testing for days and reading documentation over and over again, especially the setting up SMS via API.Such an important setting like mandatory alphanumeric ID for Australia could be mentioned in more docu sites. Would have spared me quite a few hours :)Thank you for your quick help!

How to update consent using API?

Hi @Dov and @David To Thank you for the detailed explanation. My problem is that consent is not being applied to Australian numbers, collected on single opt-in lists. Numbers stay in the “Contact” on Profiles UI, and the “Consented to receive SMS” event is not triggered for them.While US numbers get the consent with the same (non-Klaviyo) popup.$consent[sms] and sms_consent:true is sent every time. Sadly no topic - dealing with sms consent on API - solves my issue. At least not yet :)

Cannot add SMS consent via API

Hi, I also have the exact same problem (consent is not showing up properly in the profile) and the “consented to receive sms” event is not triggered, and I cannot build an automation on top of it.I’ve tried hungarian, USA and australian numbers. Same API call, same non-Klaviyo popup, different - real - mobile numbers.List is single opt-in!Hungarian numbers are not getting consent. Because SMS is not available? OK, fine... USA numbers are getting consent. Great! Australian numbers not getting consent. Why?Can you help please?

Hi, we have the exact same issue: sms number not getting into channels:$consent and sms consent is sent, numbers can receive sms and the list is NOT double opt in. USA numbers are getting into channels but Australian don't. Why? Thanks is advance
