Questino on RPR and how to use it in real example

RPR is a valid metric, but the benchmark should be made from your historical data and then tested for optimization. Yes audience size plays a part, but so does segmentation and list hygiene strategy. Your RPR will be higher if you segment well and clean your list often. Make sense?

Newsletter Flow?

If your’e trying to send your previous newsletters in one steady stream to newly opted in users just create a flow that has “When someone subscribes to ‘x list’ ” as your flow trigger, then space out the newsletters in a linear chronological fashion with appropriate time delays for each send!

Best way to connect email subcribers to shopify store

Use Klaviyo Forms!Before trying any thrid party opt-in provider, give the in-platform opt-in provider a shot. I’ve tried so many other opt-in softwares and very few come close to the speed and efficiency that Klaviyo forms provide.Let me know if you need help!

Using RPR to measure the overall effectiveness of your email flows and campaigns is likely a better strategy here than solely using it as a lever to determine discount effectiveness. For instance, what if you offer no discounts, does the RPR become obsolete? It still remains as a baseline indicator of success for that flow, campaign or account. I think it better from a business perspective for discerning discount effectiveness to quantify the gross sales provided through a coupon code minus the total dollar value in discounts for that code over a given period of time (as well as subtracting any ad costs surrounding the offer), that way you can see “apples to apples” how effective your code and promotion is for your bottom line, vs relying on klaviyo metrics to tell you. Just my thoughts though. RPR is a baseline indicator of message efficiency, not a crystal ball into discounting, unfortunately

sending a confirmation email instead of my welcome flow

Are you referring so a subscription confirmation to your email list or your order confirmation email?a) If list subscription, its likely because you have double opt-in enabled on the account. This has positives and negatives, if you want to remove it go to your account settings and disable it. (see screenshot)b) If your talking amount order confirmation, than its because your order confirmation sends from your e-commerce provider unless you've migrated it to Klaviyo. It will always send before your “customer welcome” flow if thats what you’re referring to.

Order status flow issue

Very likely due to the fact that you haven’t actually launched, launch your site and place a “dummy order” to yourself and see if the PO metric becomes available then?

Move client to a different list?

Hi Bernie, have you considered using segments instead of lists? You can utilize a lot more automated functionality by keeping one “master” list and using user actions or profile parameter changes to move users from segment to segment.Not saying its a windfall, will take some technical considerations, but worth a shot.

How do I show past Klaviyo jobs to Clients?

Google Slides and screenshots has always worked for me. If you need to include GIFs i use Chrome Screenshot- Gif and Screenshot toolYou can also use an app like Miro if you want to make the workflows look really fancy, but honestly its a lot of work.If you cant convince someone you know what your doing with screenshots and slides you likely have other issues, like effectively finding out what their goals and pain points are with email/sms. Do your best to find out what their goals are and if they dont have any, help them set some with an audit using a quarterly growth report.Let me know if you need help :)
