Also, this raises another very interesting issue:How can someone unsubscribe from receiving event-based flow E-mails but still remain on the Newsletter list?!I guess this is extremely relevant for MANY of my customers!!

Flow filters "Has not been in flow at any time" and "Has not been in flow in the last X days"

Yeah, the article you quoted makes me 99% confident that the filter “Has not been in this flow > Skip anyone who has been in this flow in the last 24 hours” will only be executed once (upon entry) and will therefore only prevent customers from re-entering the flow but NOT from moving along through the flow.Can someone please confirm this?

Thanks for your answer!Please correct me:You are saying that the ONLY way to stay on a Newsletter list while resigning from receiving event-based flow E-mails is this:Offer my customers an alternative to “unsubscribing” by putting a checkbox into the preference page that says something like “Stop automated e-mails while keeping me on the Newsletter list” (maybe a shorter label) Put a flow filter into all of my flows that checks for this propertyAlso, a practical thing:My settings allow people to unsubscribe from a list and still not be suppressed globally; This means that unsubscribing from a Newsletter mail is not the problem → hitting “unsubscribe” on a Flow email is!  Having said that, I would have to add the checkbox (described above) in the GENERAL “preference page” section (link in Klaviyo main navigation), NOT the one I can access via the List’s settings - correct? Cheers!

Behaviour of skipped profiles in a flow

Hi & thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, it doesn’t address my question at all!Here it is again:What happens if I “skip” the upcoming e-mail for profile X a couple of days before the scheduled send-out-time? (When) will this profile re-enter the flow? So I am not asking about re-sending; I am asking about profiles re-entering the “normal” flow after I pressed “skip” on a certain scheduled email. I hope this is clearer…. Thx!

Sorry, my wording wasn’t that accurate before - actually, I meant to say “(When) will this profile continue its way down the flow?”So I am not asking about re-sending; I am asking about profiles continuing the “normal” flow after I pressed “skip” on a certain scheduled email.Thx

Wow, so if your quote “It's important to note that cancelling an email for a single recipient will remove them from the flow entirely, and they will not progress to other steps or receive any of the remaining messages in the flow.” is true, that’s pretty dramatic news!!I really DON’T want recipients to leave the flow entirely when I skip a single email!!This doesn’t make sense to me at all.

No worries, we are talking about the exact same thing.I call it “skip” because when applied, profiles end up in the “skipped” folder (which is not THAT far-fetched, you will have to admit!). But the button itself is called “CANCEL SEND”. I still cannot believe that this action actually kicks the profile out of the flow altogether, instead of just NOT SENDING (“SKIPPING”!) that one specific upcoming email.BUT you are right, and the link you sent is very clear on that. SO I guess I’ll have to accept it ;-)For reference, here’s the text again that answers my question (as quoted by you in your second answer, which I will now mark as “Best Answer”): If there is an instance in which you would like to prevent a specific recipient from receiving a flow email, you can cancel the email for just that one person. It's important to note that cancelling an email for a single recipient will remove them from the flow entirely, and they will not progress to other steps or receive any of the remaining m

Thanks for further investigating. The thing is: I don’t want to add any splits or filters, because “skipping” an email for a single person would not be the rule - it would be the exception.So … if you could feed this into your “wishes for improvement” list, I am sure Klaviyo users would appreciate it: A“one-click” easy way to skip a single e-mail for a single profile without removing them altogether from the feed.Just saying ;-)

Newsletter List's subscribe page not working

Hi Alex,I am thinking of people who try to get hold of a subscription incentive (e.g. a -10% coupon) and therefore enter their e-mail into the subscription page AGAIN (although they are already on the list).Of course, the way I understand it, Klaviyo prevents this kind of “multiple subscription abuse” by NOT sending out another welcome e-mail (from a list-triggered welcome flow) once a profile has already been on this list in the past.But it still means that those people will see the above-mentioned “success page” once they re-enter their email OR unsubscribe and resubscribe.

Newsletter List's subscribe page not working

Hi again, maybe I should specify further in order to help you help me:I want to mention the subscription incentive (a -10% coupon sent out by a list-triggered Welcome flow) in all the steps of the Newsletter subscription process (i.e. the “subscribe page”, the “opt-in email” and the “success page”). But this means that re-subscribers, who I’ve learned DO NOT receive the coupon again, will see “wrong” texts when they sign up. In these texts, they will be promised a coupon that in reality never comes.Now, when TESTING this signup process with various e-mail-addresses, I was surprised to find out that the “success page” - for no apparent reason - is missing a line when being displayed to an existing subscriber. This is what the two screenshots are about!Does anyone know why this is the case?
