Sign up form - consent via a tickbox?

Here’s the scenario: We want to create a competition sign up form to put on a web-page. This form will submit the email address, add hidden tags and collect email consent. We want to give the person the option to opt in for marketing emails, like a tick box. We have tested this, and it seems that regardless of if you tick the box or not, clicking the submit button (which creates the event “subscribed to list”) automatically adds consent to a profile when they submit the form.The only other way I can think to do this - is to create a separate competition list that they get added to, where by ticking the box it adds a hidden value (e.g. consent = yes). We can then use that value to manually add people to the main newsletter list, thus leaving anyone else who doesn’t want marketing emails out. However, given that there is a competition virtually every month - this then becomes a very manual process of segmenting and adding people from one list to another.Ideally I want to avoid as much ma

Abandoned Cart - Shopify Tags

Hi community.I’m working with a client on building a simple Abandoned Cart flow.I have found that their customer service team are making draft orders in Shopify for parts/servicing/warranty to have a record of orders their service team are fulfilling. It is triggering “checkout started” followed by a “placed order” event for those customers profile on Klaviyo.Now when I preview the emails in the cart abandonment flow - it is pulling through all these draft orders for the 10 previews. I’m hoping that because customer service trigger a checkout started followed by placed order (and placed order is a filter on the trigger) that people won’t be receiving these emails. However I want to add a fail-safe if for any reason they don’t trigger placed order within the 2 hour delay between the trigger and email sending.I have confirmed with the client that a Shopify tag called “customerservice_order” is added to each one and this pulls through in the data for that profile. Show/Hide Using Event Data for Specific Items

I am working with a client who sells around 20 products. I want to build an email with dynamic content for their post purchase journey showing useful tips and tricks per product ordered. Ideally I want to have say 20 table blocks with a show/hide clause on. Then regardless of how many products they ordered, it will show all the necessary blocks. So I know I need to use event|lookup: but I’m not sure on what should follow… Do I use the actual name of the product? E.g. Vitamin C Face Moisturiser so that would  be event|lookup:’Vitamin C Moisturiser’ Do I also need to use the code from the preview window to add to it event|lookup:’event.extra.fulfillments.0.line_items.0.title’ kind of thing? I’m concerned that if any other data is passed through with a conflicting name, it will show the wrong blocks and I am not familiar with using event data for show/hide only customer properties.Thanks guys!

How Do List data types work when adding a custom property in a flow?

Hello, I am working on a project for a client and trying to find an efficient way to tag customer profiles with a specific property. The client makes childrens adventure maps for different towns and cities. They would like me to tag everyone who places an order for a specific map.So in my head, adding a different custom property per map, is too messy. If someone buys 50 maps, they will have 50 custom properties on their profile and this becomes a pain to utilise in segments. So I thought about using lists so the custom property would look like this instead Map Purchase = [“Map A”],[“Map B”],[“Map C”]Now to create a flow to automate this - I have done the following:I made this draft flow thinking I need to add the new custom property first and then update it with the correct town/city name. So I did a create custom property at the top below the trigger where Map Purchase is Yes [list]. Then after the splits which will look for a specific map collection, use an update profile property to

Can we add If else to dynamic table blocks?

Hi all,I have a cart abandonment series and a post purchase series, both of which have a dynamic table block in to show the customers what is in their cart/what they have purchased previously.Recently a load of sample products have been added to the website in order to allow customers to try 2 free samples with their purchase. We don’t want the samples to show within this dynamic block as the images are not very good, and the data is a little messy. We just want full-sized products that the customer has purchased.Is there a way I can add an if else statement to a dynamic table block to tell the data to not show when it is a sample? In the event data for placed order, under the item array there is a value product type = sample and I would like to try and target this to remove them. It is showing as {{ event.extra.line_items.1.product.product_type }}Or can I use show/hide logic? Though I imagine that would hide all the products as opposed to just the samples.Here are a few screenshots of

Show/Hide logic for (Shopify) Fulfilled Order

Hi guys. Trying to build an email for a pet brand. Depending on what a customer bought we want to show them:Cat related content Dog related content Cat & Dog related content So the email is broken up into 3 sections all with their own Show/Hide logic on the section. Now the Shopify store has a lot of item variables, so we figured we could use top level “Collections” in order to target cat/dog/both. I’ve made three branches within a flow - one for dry food, one for wet food and then treats. The wet & dry are working fine - however treats email keeps telling me there is invalid syntax?? Can someone tell me if the following logic I’ve used is correct?Basically I’m telling it if Cat treats appears in collections and not dog treats or dental sticks, show the cat related content. Is it broken because I’ve used 3 pieces of logic? Or am I missing something?I’ve done this for the other two blocks as well:"Dog Treats" in event.Collections and "Dental Sticks for Dogs" in event.Collections

Date triggered flows [Pregnancy]

Hi,Has anyone managed to successfully build flows for pregnancy-based email marketing. My main concern is the collecting and utilizing of the data, as I am aware that these date based values will differ for every individual.We want to trigger relevant product/informational emails at the correct times for each customer. Ideally we would like to use a popup to collect a due date, and then from that we are able to calculate and tag accordingly to trigger segments or flows for 1st trimester, 2nd trimester, 3rd trimester etc. So if one person signs up with a due date and they are in their 3rd trimester, we could calculate this and provide them with 3rd trimester flow. Whereas if someone signed up in their 1st trimester, again we could identify and place them in the 1st trimester flow, followed by 2nd and then 3rd. Is is possible, or is there just too much room for error? Has anyone done anything similar? Any suggestions or examples would be much appreciated!!Thanks.

Profile Activity feed - Campaigns

Hi,Normally when I look at the activity feed within a customer profile I see two small icons next to the campaign a customer has received. One to access the campaign/flow and another to view that exact email. I’ve just noticed this is missing for the latest campaigns and wondered why? Is it because these campaigns had A/B tests? I wanted to look at a few profiles and see the email they got sent to make sure the show/hide blocks I set up worked. Is there another way to see this after the campaign has been sent? If I go into campaigns and click preview email it doesn’t show the show/hide blocks.Thanks!!

List Growth

To me this should be simple math - but I feel like I’m missing something. Main marketing list November - 250,143 members. In the list growth view it says: Total subscribes - 3,582 and total unsubscribes - 549So net growth for the list is 3,033. However when I look at the marketing list size in October it was - 247,380. So doing the math November minus October the result is 2,763 which is a completely different number to the net growth. Why is there a difference of 270 members? Who are they, where are they coming from? If they’re not being listed in the subscribes and unsubscribes, I can’t understand why there is a discrepancy. Can someone please enlighten me?

Custom APP - API call into Klaviyo

I am working with a client that has a custom built app where customers can log in and update details. This app holds info such as email, name, custom tags on personal preferences and marketing permissions. Is it possible to build an API call from a custom app into Klaviyo? I imagine the developers who built the app will need to install this, but first I wanted to know if this is feasible? And how I can support them.Also is it possible to push opt-in / opt-outs back and forth via an API? If someone could point me in the direction of the correct documentation to read and follow that would be great thanks.

Transactional email displaying order batches

Hi I have built a transactional email flow - specifically an order confirmation. I originally built the email as standard with a table block pulling in the order data and then setting the row collection/alias for it to repeat based on the number of items within the placed order event data.However, most customer orders split into multiple batches depending on stock location, availability, logistics etc. So we actually want to display this data within batches in the email. Please see images attached for example of how we want the email to look, and how the event data pulling through in batches 0, 1, 2 with all the data combined underneath.Can someone explain to me, how I can achieve this? Or if this is even possible in Klaviyo? Would I need multiple table arrays? Also the headers (Delivery 1) would these need to be if/else statements in order to show/not show based on delivery batches within the event?
