Opting into marketing emails on back in stock form

If a contact subscribes to email marketing when signing up for back in stock, does that create a traditional ‘subscribed to list’ metric and would that trigger a flow that was set to trigger by the list the form ads them to? All these years using Klaviyo, I never even thought about this behavior 🙈

Subscribed Status - Any Pitfalls to be aware of?

Before Klaviyo had a subscription status, I relied on list membership and Shopify’s accept marketing tag to identify who explicitly opted into marketing.  When the subscribed status was first released, it didn’t seem to be super reliable, so I continued to use the former method.  Using the status to identify subscribers would allow me to implement some other things I traditionally held back on, but wondering if there are any known issues with this.

Back in Stock Install | Shopify Symmetry Theme

Does anyone know the proper anchor for the symmetry theme? I thought I had it because at one point the notify me button did show on the front end, albeit in the wrong place. Now I can’t get it to work anymore.  Note: No need to rehash the fact that the standard BIS code is only guaranteed for free Shopify themes; get a developer, etc. I know... that’s why I am here to see if anyone else knows what it is. 😀 I’ve installed this a bajillion times in different themes without issue.

Dynamic Content Based on Current Date

Is it possible to show/hide blocks of content based on the CURRENT DATE(not a date stored on a customer profile or in metric/event data) Use Case: Showing different product blocks for different categories of products based on what the customer told me they are shopping for. If they say they’re shopping for the Holidays can I say show this block if the date is after X and before Xand then show a different block during a different date range? This way I can show Christmas stuff at one time of the year, and Mother’s Day items at another.

Back In Stock | Script Error

I’m trying to install BIS to the Symmetry theme on Shopify. I have done this NUMEROUS times, on multiple different themes and have never had an issue.  At first I thought I had the wrong alternate anchor, but I did get it to show up ONE time. Unfortunately it was in the wrong place and after trying to adjust it, it’s never loaded again.  It looks like the script is actually erroring out. I don’t really know enough about that, but are there any common issues I might be able to troubleshoot on my own? I’ve already turned off other apps to ensure there isn’t a conflict, viewed product tracking is turned on, etc. And I already know that BIS doesn’t work seamlessly with “custom” themes.

dynamic coupons expiration

When you set a dynamic coupon created for Shopify to expire in X # of days. Does it expire at the same time of day the coupon was created or at the end of the day on the final day? if the email sends at 10 AM on day 1 does it expire at 10 AM on day 3 or at the end of day 3 I just always assumed it was based on when it was created but them I saw someone put in an email that it expired at 11:59 PM and wasn’t sure.

Shopify: Excluding Customers Who Opt-in to Email Marketing at Checkout from the Welcome Flow

Somehow I missed the memo that Klaviyo no longer filters those who sign up for emails at checkout from your list-triggered flows. And I’ve got past clients + students whose customers are receiving post-purchase and welcome emails based on how I recommended set up.  How is everyone filtering the welcome flow to prevent this?I’m brainstorming all the possible solutions so I can present them to my clients and audience, would love to hear any and all ways that you have adjusted for this. Sadly, the $source is the same whether they sign up at checkout or through a Shopify form. The easiest solution seems to just swap out the Shopify footer form with a Klaviyo one so I can set a profile property - but would love to present multiple options.

Feature Request: Allow Subscribers to Trigger Flows More than Once

Override limit of only sending segment triggered flows to same subscriber once on a flow-by-flow basis. In some cases I want the subscriber to go to the flow each time just like they do with metrics.Example:When someone reaches a rewards points threshold If I’m giving away a PDF download and they forget they already signed up for it
