Saving abandoned cart on Added to Cart trigger where checkout not started on Shopify

Hi there!We set up a flow to email customers who have added products to their cart but have not started the checkout process on Shopify using your premade Added to Cart template (see attached screenshots) that’s triggered on the Added to Cart event (we also integrated the necessary code to trigger the add to cart event on our shopify store and it works fine).  I know on the abandoned cart flows that are triggered on the Checkout Started event, Klaivyo includes a link to the shopify checkout screen where the cart items are saved, but for the abandoned cart flow where it’s triggered on the Added to Cart event, it doesn’t have that link to recover their cart.  Instead, the ‘Make Your Purchase’ CTA you include in the Added to Cart flow email is wired to event.URL which in turn just returns a link to the product. In summary, in the flow where the abandoned cart email is triggered on the Added to Cart event, the cart is not saved like it is when it is triggered from the Checkout Started even

Safari mobile blocking call to _learnq.push?

Hi everyone, On the client side, we have some code that creates Klaviyo profiles by using Klaviyo’s javascript library via the _learnq.push(['identify', {'$email' : 'xyz@xyz.com'}]) call.  When making the call on Chrome, everything works fine and a Klaviyo profile is created and _learnq.isIdentified() will now return true.  On Safari mobile however, no profile is created and _learnq.isIdentified() simply returns false.  Anyone else experiencing this and is this a known problem?

Users randomly getting error when signing up using a form

Hi all, About 1 out of 20 users signing up with our Klaviyo forms on Shopify get the following error upon hitting the ‘submit’ button: It happens on mobile safari and chrome so it can’t be due to any random plugins blocking the call.  Anyone else running into this problem?  Do we know what is causing it?

Firing Custom Facebook Event (Sever-Side) After Singup

Hi everyone, I know you can fire a client-side custom facebook event once a user signs up using a klaviyo form by wiring the the ‘klaviyoForms’ event handler but I wanted to see if it’s possible to this server-sideby having Klaviyo trigger FB’s JS call server side or by somehow wiring Klaviyo to make a conversions api call to fire the facebook custom event instead.. The reason for this is that on ios 14+, fb events can be blocked client side so you’d have to fire fb’s javascript library server side or fire the fb event using the conversions api. Thanks!

Can you use _learnq to retrieve custom properties?

Hi Everyone, We are using Klaviyo’s client-side _leanq JS library to push custom properties for an ‘identified’ user (via _learnq.push), but we can’t seem to figure out if there’s a way to retrieve custom properties using the _learnq library.  Does anyone know if this is possible?  I know we can do this via a server-side call (such as the Profiles API) with our private token but that’s not an option at this point and need to use some kind of a client-side JS call like _learnq that doesn't require our private_api key.   Any help is greatly appreciated 🙏

Can you fire custom JS on a form submit?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to wire the signup form’s submit button to also fire some custom JS?   In a nutshell, I basically want to fire client side JS function as soon as the user submits the form so I can store some data in their session. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Storing input fields from website into Klaviyo Profile

Does anyone know if it’s possible to store an input field on our website (shopify) into the user’s Klaviyo profile as a custom field? For example say on our shopify product page (not a klaviyo sign up form) there’s a input field called ‘foo’ where the user enters free form text.  We want to take the value of the input field ‘foo’ and save it as a custom property in the user’s Klaviyo profile with every key press as the user is inputting values into the foo input field (ideally with a straight javascript call to Klaviyo on the product page without the use of any custom built apps).
