When I click save in the editor I see a warning "Changes may not be saved"

Hi There,Both Christina and I keep seeing a weird warning in Chrome for Mac whenever we click save - see attached. It’s been happening for a few months now and we’ve both upgraded and restarted Chrome as well as updated MacOS in that time but still see the issue.Any help much appreciated, obviously we don’t want to lose any work so the warning is confusing - no?Cheers, BenP.S. MacOS - Paste often not working in Chrome for Mac

Hi There,Increasingly, we can’t paste text into the Klaviyo text editor. This started happening intermittently some time 2(ish) weeks ago?We see this behaviour on two different Macs.Have tried…Double-checking that paste is working by pasting into other apps like Text Edit Tried using the menus to paste instead of shortcuts Tried using ‘Paste & match style’ Updating Chrome to the latest buildWorkarounds...Interestingly, we can paste if we switch to HTML suggesting it’s a rich text editor thang.  The only other way to fix is to logout of Klaviyo, restart the Mac, then re-launch/login etc (simply re-launching Chrome doesn’t work).Does anyone know how to permanently fix? How to lock-out Klaviyo's design flexibility?

Hi There,Sorry if this info is available but after a few years of using Klaviyo, we're struggling to gain control and consistency over typography in Klaviyo, and somehow end up with emails containing 100s of empty span tags with endless styles on them.We have templates which we duplicate and reuse, we've set brand styles, template styles, block styles and use universal content, we paste content from plain text files etc. But when staff drag a block in, they still get endless design choices which inevitably ruins the template and seems to generate those empty spans.Maybe once you have emails and templates that are built with flexibility in mind, you have an impossible mess moving forward because campaigns get duplicated and reused?Or maybe we’re missing something basic?e.g. How do we lock-out Klaviyo's design flexibility so that staff...- Never choose a font in a campaign or flow ever again?- Never choose block spacing in a campaign or flow ever again?Yes, staff should have content flex

How to group multiple emails into a campaign?

Hi There,Sorry if this is simple but is there a way to group multiple emails into a single campaign to properly determine the performance of a promo as a whole?For example, we usually announce promos/deals with an initial email, then remind customers with multiple emails that contain detailed features/benefits then finally, ending soon and ‘last call’ emails.But for reporting, we have to manually add-up the separate campaigns to determine performance of the promo as a whole. Not only is this more time consuming, it’s kinda confusing when campaigns are really just emails - unless we’re missing something basic here?I hope that makes sense, any pointers much appreciated.Cheers, Ben

Why does Google never show email conversions with Klaviyo?

Hi There,For November 2023, Klaviyo attributes $86k to flows and campaigns but GA attributes $0 to email.I’ve read some help articles which talk about clipped emails and tracking differences resulting discrepancies but this is much more than a discrepancy - right?All our campaigns and flows have utm tracking on and we couldn’t find a GA integration so assume we use utm parameters but no joy.Our experience with other platforms is that it all just works so are confused what the issue is.Any help much appreciated.Cheers, Ben

REQUEST: Set default styles for the drag-and-drop editor

Hi there,Everyone loves those drag-and-drop icons and for good reason, they’re super intuitive which is surely why they were built? But to be on-brand, you can’t use them. Silly - right? Surely that’s a core-conflict that needs addressing because saved blocks and templates don’t fix it.REQUEST: Allow us to set default styles for the drag-and-drop editor It’d be faster, more intuitive and ultimately more enjoyable if the drag-and-drop editor matched your brand. Even if styles had to be set via css or json, or however they’re currently set. Or put another way... Why do we want the drag-and-drop editor to conflict with our templates? Surely nobody wants this. Everyone loves those drag-and-drop icons - I know I do!Cheers, Ben

How to get iPads to display the full width of a template?

Hi There,Desktop and mobile templates look great but I can’t get iPads to display the full-width of the email background, even though there’s plenty of room - see attached for iPad (see red X’s) vs Desktop vs Mobile.Mobile doesn’t have this issue because the design butts to the sides so you don’t get that 15px each side which creates visual clutter between email and content backgrounds if that makes sense. It looks super clean when viewing on the device.Does anyone know how to stop iPads from cutting-off backgrounds on the sides?Any help much appreciated.Cheers, Ben On iPad... On Desktop… On Mobile…

Will Klaviyo get proper templates in future?

Hi There,Will Klaviyo ever get proper templates where you can set default text styles and spacing on all blocks so if added, we get consistent design?The way this all works currently is a constant headache sorry (yes we’ve setup and use the universal block system). The main problem is that the rich text editor is one of the worst. Yes, the markup required for emails is also the worst!  But even basic emails clip in Google and when we look into it, it’s the cruft added by the rich text editor.See below for an example from just one small text area!Hope that makes sense. Is Klclick1.com linked to ad tracking? Customers think it's a scam.

Hi There,Customers think we’re tracking them to serve ads which we’re not. But it doesn’t matter because if they think we are, then from their point of view, we are.Attached is a screenshot from a customer who asked to be unsubscribed in disgust - and this isn’t the first time it’s come up since migrating.We aren’t serving ads to people so is there a way to have links that don’t ping tracking services, even if that reduces some of Klaviyo’s features?Any help would be much appreciated.Cheers, Ben

How to you search a sent campaign for a profile?

Hi There, Since migrating from CM we’ve had people complaining on a fairly consistent basis that they’re receiving emails despite unsubscribing.The latest person has ‘Accepts Marketing’ set to false and Klaviyo states ‘never subscribed’ - can we search a sent campaign for a specific recipient and if so, how?Also, this aspect to the Shopify integration is frankly baffling for something so important. We HATE finding out that we’re disrespecting our customer’s wishes like this.If an account in Shopify has marketing turned-off, why doesn’t Klaviyo honour this?Any help would be much appreciated.Cheers, BenP.S. Request: One-click toggle to add/remove date picker to campaign filter

Hi there, the campaign date-range filter is a constant frustration sorry.PROBLEMS1. Firstly, it seems to default to the last date used, which requires pointing and clicking just to see latest campaigns.e.g. Say you sent a campaign on the 24th but a colleague sends a campaign on the 26th. When you log-in, the campaign list doesn’t show their campaign because it’s defaulted to the 24th. This requires pointing and clicking just to see the last campaign.2. Secondly, it’s painful searching for past campaigns like last year’s Mothers Day or Black Friday because you have to click back through a year to create the date range (plus you have to know the date of the campaign).The whole point of searching is to bypass endless clicking and quickly find what you need - right?REQUEST: A one-click toggle to add/remove the date picker to/from the campaign filter. That way we could exclude a date range and search for a campaign without endless pointing and clicking.Hope that makes sense.Cheers, Ben

New Editor: Feature requests

Hi There,We’re new to Klaviyo (migrating from Campaign Monitor) and have been using your new editor for a month.There are many great features that overall, are allowing us to create nicer looking designs -  control over line-spacing and padding everywhere is a truly a god send so great work!Some feature requests…1. A bit slow/sticky to useOverall, the editor is sticky compared to Campaign Monitor but seems to degrade the longer it’s open. Have tried Chrome, Firefox and Safari on Mac plus we have 64GB of RAM, an 8-core i9 Processor, and a 100Mbps (up/down) fibre connection. Have also tried restarting Chrome and the Mac as well as logging-out and clearing cache etc. There are definitely long waits (5-10sec) during auto-saving but also long waits (5-10sec) after performing operations like moving, adding and editing blocks. We haven’t timed the waits so maybe they just feel that long. There's also a window jump/refresh thing going on and you often don’t notice when the interface has stalle

Request: One-click suppress profile please

Hi There, can we please get a huge Suppress button on profiles?Manually suppressing a person is incredibly convoluted in Klaviyo currently.Sometimes we naturally want to accomplish tasks from a profile context as well - right?And because manual unsubs occur rarely, you waste 5mins trying to accomplish it, then 5mins googling it -  EVERY TIME!Hope that makes sense. New Editor: Inconsistent left/right padding between different blocks on mobile

Hi There, new to Klaviyo so sorry if this basic.We’re having trouble getting elements to line-up on the left edge on Mobile. No matter what combination of element or block padding we apply, stuff doesn’t seem to line-up in the new editor.Example #1 - Block-level PaddingBecause block padding is available everywhere, if we standardise settings and only use block padding, we get inconsistent margins on mobile.See the red line, the text, button and stars image all have 30px block-level padding and 0px element padding but nothing lines-up on mobile... Example #2 - Element-level PaddingBut if we try to use 30px of element padding instead (not available on images or buttons) the text also doesn’t line-up on mobile… Not 100% sure what we’re doing wrong, have logged-out and back in but no joy. How to set block styles?

Hi There,We’re new to Klaviyo and are having trouble understanding templates (new editor).A limited number of styles can be saved but not for blocks. I guess we could style and save all blocks in the template, then duplicate them for an email but this isn’t useful if a previous change removed the block - right?Wouldn’t it be better to save block styles into the template so that you never have to repeat design work?Or are we missing something basic here!Cheers, Ben

How to change vertical spacing after headlines when everything is 0?

Hi There,New to Klaviyo so sorry if this easy.See attached, we’re trying to find and remove the space after the heading - where does that come from and is there any way to control it?Padding on all blocks are set ‘0’ and there’s no section between them.We’re not trying to create ‘pixel perfect’ design but space between headlines and text is critical for grouping headlines with text.If there’s too much space after headlines, the text becomes orphaned from the headline if that makes sense.Any help would be much appreciated.Cheers, Ben

How Do I Add Responsive Page Margins in Email Builder?

Hi There,How do we use your email builder to create nice spacing like we see in your own emails?See attached, notice how on desktop the page margins are nice and wide but on mobile they’re smaller. How do we achieve this using your email builder?And how do you set these sorts of block spacing styles template-wide (and override as needed)? That way, you don’t have to keep changing the spacing every time you add a block!I hope that makes sense.CheersBen
