Hi everyone,

I'm starting an ecommerce pet business soon. We'll be launching our Coming Soon page soon, and I'm working on setting up a prelaunch email flow. I want to make sure that subscribers who join at different times still get a relevant and engaging experience.

Here's what I have so far:

  • Trigger: When someone is added to All Subscribers
  • Welcome & 25% Discount email
  • Wait 3 days: Brand Story email
  • Wait 5 days: Product Education email
  • Wait 7 days: FAQ email

The issue I'm facing is that this setup is very linear and assumes subscribers join at the beginning of the prelaunch period. If someone joins part way through or with just a week left, they won't receive the emails in a timely manner.

I’m wondering what the best way to go about this would be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Brian

Hello @simpliPets!

Thank you for your question.

Let’s work through this…

Will the prelaunch flow be the same as the welcome flow when you launch?

I’m thinking that the day you launch you switch out to a welcome flow (you can duplicate the prelaunch flow if it’s the same or similar and make the copy adjustments). You leave the prelaunch flow live and make the copy updates that reflect the site is live for those that are already in the flow. Once they finish the flow, that prelaunch flow is complete and you can update the status to DRAFT.

Let me know if that helps!
