We have an issue where our Facebook pixel is firing twice, throwing off Meta ad results.
The rendered page shows cAPI code from the Shopify–>Meta integration but we also see the Facebook pixel code - we’ve been told we should only see one or the other, not both?
After exhaustive theme searches (locally pulled theme and a theme search app), the pixel code doesn’t appear hard-coded anywhere, so people have suggested it might be from an app.
However, the only installed app with a Facebook integration is Klaviyo.
Hence the question: Does the Klaviyo–>Facebook Advertising integration install additional Facebook pixel code onto Shopify stores?
The Klaviyo to Facebook Advertising integration does not install additional Facebook pixel code onto Shopify stores. This integration mainly focuses on syncing audiences and customer data between Klaviyo and Facebook for targeted advertising, without adding extra tracking scripts.
Install it and open your Shopify store and use the Pixel Helper to identify which pixels are firing and their sources.
remove any duplicate or unnecessary pixel codes. Ensure only the correct pixel integration remains.
Temporarily disable apps one by one that have Facebook integration to see if the double-firing stops. Once identified, adjust the settings or remove the app.
