Changing email address

Hello! 

A customer has requested that their email address be changed. Is there a way to edit the email address in her profile? I only seem to be able to edit name/number. 

 

If not, what’s the best way to do this? Create a new profile and merge it with her old one? I don’t want to lose all her data if possible.

Hi @amyrenegade, welcome back to the community.

You should be able to edit email by clicking on the email field, and changing it.  You can see that here:

However, depending on how Klaviyo is integrated with your ecommerce platform and where the email originated from, the wrong email address may still exist.  

So as you mentioned, I recommend you “merge” the two Profiles (the wrong one with the corrected one) so that they are one Profile in Klaviyo and all future events will be synced with the historic events already collected.

You can change the email address of a profile by clicking on the “Edit” button near the “Contact” section. Here’s a few screenshots to guide you through the process:
