Klaviyo doesn't segment based on Stripe products?

I got Klaviyo to automate emails to our customers. All our sales are on Stripe, but I’m finding that Klaviyo hardly syncs with Stripe at all, most importantly it doesn’t seem to be able to tell which product our customers purchased.

Is this true? How do we segment email followup based on products from STRIPE.

Hello @Drea,

Welcome to the Klaviyo Community!

If you haven’t already, I would suggest taking a look at our Getting started with Stripe Help Center article.

As mentioned in the article, the metrics that get synced to Klaviyo as part of the default integration are:

  • Failed Payment
  • Issued Invoice
  • Refunded Payment
  • Successfully Paid

Since Stripe is a payment portal, instead, you’ll typically want to make use of your ecommerce metrics to help distinguish what products were purchased by your customers. For example, using Shopify’s Placed Order event/metric to help identify a particular product that was purchased as part of the entire order.

I hope this helps!
