Trying to Get All Merge Tags for Connected Account

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

We are working on an integration between our product and Klaviyo and are trying to figure out the best method for our use case.

Our users are creating content on our platform that they will then want to embed into a Klaviyo email template. To make it easier for them, we want to give them a dropdown where they can match the variables on our platform to the corresponding merge tag within their Klaviyo account.

What is the best way for us to fetch all of the possible merge tags (person, event, property, etc) to display to the user within our platform?

Hi @DCoreyT,

Thank you for sharing your question with the Klaviyo Community.

You can find a list of merge tags with corresponding use-case explanations here. We also have a general guide on template tags and variable syntax here

Additionally, we have a document specifically catered to event variables in case you decide to pass us events using the Track or Identify API from your platform.

Thanks and have a great day.

Thanks for the insight DD! Is there any way to see what integration they are using via the API so we know which version of the event tags to offer them (Shopify,Magento, etc)

Hi @DCoreyT,

Thanks for your reply.

I am afraid it is not possible to make this ecommerce-specific determination for event tags. My recommendation is to advise them to refer to our documentation specifically catered to event variables which will allow them to use the correct tags.

Thanks and have a great day.
