Hi there,

Is there any way to control event attribution when we create an event via the API? We use a lot of quick actions and some of our own open pixels. We add the Klaviyo message_id and flow_id attributes to the events so that we can make sure that attribution is correct even if the event is recorded before the open event or outside the attribution window.

Currently, including $message or $flow in the event properties does not guarantee the event will be attributed to the specified message or flow. Is there any way to guarantee this?

Hi @dkjonzy

Custom attribution is not currently supported. Attribution today is a standalone process and relies on your attribution model configuration, timing of message interactions, and the timestamp of the event. Thank you for your feedback, I have shared it with our product team.
