I have tried to customize the location and color of the notify me when available button link but have yet to succeed.  My goal is to have the notify me when available show up underneath the sold out button.  In the guide for explaining how to customize the button it explains that I can do so by controlling the location through the product.liquid template.  When I edit the code there is not a product.liquid for me to edit.  From my research this seems to be because I am using the Dawn theme but have not been able to find any information about how to work around this problem.  Here is a picture of the code with locations.  I have tried to create a product.liquid section but am not allowed to create one when I have tried.

If someone could point me in the direction of getting this figured out please let me know.

Hello @nobinobi,

Welcome to the Klaviyo Community!

The Klaviyo back in stock functionality would work for both Shopify 2.0 and Vintage themes. However, placement of the codes will vary depending on the themes themselves. All instructions found in the How to Install Back in Stock for Shopify Help Center article are meant to guide users on how to install this functionality for any of the free out of the box Shopify themes.

Unlike the standard free Shopify themes, theme developers are not required to follow some basic guidelines that allow our back-in-stock feature to function. Hence why you aren’t able to locate a product.liquid template in your theme files with Dawn. Oftentimes you’ll want to speak with the theme developer or consider reaching out to one of Klaviyo's partners for more assistance in customizing the back in stock code for your custom theme.

Though, it does sound like when working with the Dawn theme, the main-product.liquid template is a replacement for the traditional product.liquid template. I may try that out and see if that works, else reaching out to the theme developer would be your next best option unless you’re already working with a developer that could help.

I hope this helps!

David
