Branded sending domain setup for Subdomain

It’s been really difficult to understand on how to setup Branded Sending Domain for the subdomain. So I have 2 stores in 2 different market. US and Germany US site is the root domain while Ge is the subdomain (company.com & ge.company.com)I have already set up Branded sending domain for US site BUT having issues with setting up with the Ge site. While I have read couple of articles that mentioned that“ in Klaviyo, you can use the same subdomain for multiple accounts since it will all be attributed to that one domain in your DNS. For example, if you manage a US and UK account for a given brand, you can use the same sending domain for both. If you use one sending domain across multiple accounts, the CNAME or NS records should be the same, but each account will have a different TXT value and each TXT value needs to be added into the DNS record.” So TXT record is added successfully! So I have CNAME records for US and NS records for German site. As I mentioned US set up is completed but

DKIM signature error

Why is only Klaviyo requesting we create a sending subdomain in addition to DMARC?

We’re using three different bulk emailers: Klaviyo, Constant Contact, and Mailchimp. To my knowledge, they’re all requesting DMARC, but only Klaviyo is requesting the creation of a unique sending subdomain. Also, if we send well under 5000 emails per day, will our sending be affected? We’re mainly using Klaviyo for abandoned cart flows and rarely sending blasts out to segments. Thank you.

Setting up a Branded Sending Domain with WIX

Hi, I'm trying to set up a branded sending domain and I need to add/update my DNS records.I purchased my domain through WIX. I've managed to add the TXT and I've added the first NS record to the CNAME records but it's not letting me add more.Is that the correct place to add these records and do I have to add them all or is one enough??Thank you so much!!!!

Inflated click rates?

Is anyone else experiencing massively inflated click rates? We started noticing it from about 2 weeks ago to now, and it’s showing an over 200% increase to our monthly click rate averages. When looking at individual campaigns as well, they’re also looking to be incredibly higher. Does anyone know if this is just a Klaviyo issue being worked through or what else would be causing this?

Yahoo and Gmail requiremens for accounts with less than 5k contacts

I have an account with less than 5k emails, so as I understand that would not be considered bulk sending in terms of the new Gmail and Yahoo requirements this 2024. Besides not impersonating a Gmail address and keeping spam rates low (which I already do) is not entirely clear whether I should do something else. Do I need to set up an SPF, DKIM, DMARC validation, DNS records or something along the lines?I use by the way a shared IP address from Klaviyo.

Gmail Spam Complaints + How To Suppress Them

I know we can't see spam complaints from Gmail + so they're not suppressed - how can we determine which Gmail users have marked us as spam so we can suppress them manually? Is there anyone who’s been able to successfully do that, outside of just monitoring the Spam Rate separately through Google Postmaster?

Having trouble setting up SSL for Dedicated Click Tracking

We went through the process of installing CNAME records for purposes of Dedicated Click Tracking, and everything worked in setting up a dedicated subdomain for our links. Then, we encountered some issues with the SSL piece, to make that subdomain secure. Our DNS provider (Namecheap) said they’re unable to help because Klaviyo’s instructions to set up a Dedicated Click Tracking subdomain guide you to direct that subdomain to “Sendgrid” -- because of that, they claim they’re unable to install an SSL certificate, and we’d have to take it up with Sendgrid… But that seems wrong. I see a lot of other posts from people struggling with the SSL component of Dedicated Click Tracking.  Is there anyone who’s had success in setting this up, and can provide any guidance / tips here? For reference, our site is on Shopify (so our main .com domain has its SSL certificate automatically, by way of being linked to Shopify), and our DNS provider is Namecheap.

I would like to test/track how many people who have viewed a specific Browse Abandoned product and then completed their order for said product? Basically, is there a way to track conversion rate of specific Browse Abandonment products.

custom report challenges - opening in Google sheets/Excel

Hi thereI’m running into challenges when I want to examine the flow/campaign reports I’ve downloaded. I don’t know if it’s due to me being a EU citizen (csv file format is not default here and I have to convert) or if I just fail horribly, but I can’t get the data to show (rates in % in particular) how I want it to - e.g. what should be showing as open rate in % is instead being loaded as long gibberish numbers - both in Excel and Google Sheets.Can anyone help? I’ve searched for help on the general interwebs but to no avail.

SSL certificate for a Shopify store

Hi guys,  We’ve setup a dedicated click tracking with Klaviyo and need to set up the SSL too to avoid any insecure links etc. As explained here https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052205052-How-to-set-up-SSL-for-dedicated-click-tracking .  But we don’t use any of that like Cloudflare etc., we’re on Shopify Plus and I believe using their SSL for our domain. DNS records are managed directly at GoDaddy.  Can anybody please advise how we should set up this SSL?  Thanks!

Subdomain needs SSL

Hi,SSL setup, looking for a bit of advice as going round in circles with Godaddy / Shopify etc. We have a domain name on Godaddy, the root is pointing straight at Shopify store which is now protected with an SSL under Shopify's system.The problem is, we have setup a subdomain on Godaddy for dedicated tracking for Klaviyo, which is ok and works, however, the subdomain does not have an SSL on it and we need it to, but Godaddy said it can't be done as you are pointing the main domain to Shopify.Does anyone know if there is a way around this without breaking anything? Is it possible to point the subdomain to Cloudflare then get it secured on there, then point it from Cloudflare back to I think it’s Sendgrid Klaviyo use which will then link back to Klaviyo? Thank you for any advice/help

How can I get more detailed analytics on my campaigns and flows?

Hi everyone,I am trying to find more detailed analytics on our campaigns and flows. I am hoping that yall can guide me in the right direction bc all of my searching has led me nowhere. We have created some campaigns and have had some excellent results as far as leading to sales. However, we would like to know if those people are purchasing initially or if they are waiting until they get a coupon code to purchase.  For example:We created a Black History Month newsletter email that included some history on the holiday, some notable figures, and a couple of recipes. We did NOT include any sort of coupon code or promotion in this email. It was a hit and we had a lot of sales from it—but we would like to know if these sales were done solely because our campaign influenced them to purchase our products at full price (without any code) or if the people went to our site from tge campaign and browsed….and then left and waited to receive an Abandoned Cart or Abandoned Checkout flow email in orde

BigCommerce Email Verification Issues

Hello,I’ve been able to get 3 of the 4 verification records to verify.  The only one I’m having issue with is “kl.domainkey.u161779.wl030.sendgrid.net” I got the kl2.domainkey.u161779.wl030.sendgrid.net to verify so I’m not understanding why the other one will not.  Any help is appreciated.Thanks,Josh

Branded sending domain for two Klaviyo accounts on same root domain

Tearing my hair out trying to resolve this … any help appreciated.We have two websites built on Shopify (B2B and B2C), with one being the subdomain of the other (e.g. https://wholesale.company.com). Each Shopify is linked to a Klaviyo account, which has been fine for us so far.When trying to set up branded sending domains, I’m only able to activate it on our B2B Klaviyo account. I get the following error message: “There is a maximum of one sending subdomain per domain level. For more help, please contact Klaviyo support.” I tried different variations for each Klaviyo account (i.e. mail.company.com and send.company.com) but still receive the error.Today, I removed the branded sending domain from the B2B account and set up the branded sending domain with the subdomain included (i.e. send.wholesale.company.com). This activated okay, but when I went to add send.company.com to the B2C Klaviyo, I get the same error.Our next best option is to move one of the accounts over to Mailchimp, but we

Filter Analytics by Campaign or Flow Tag

I can’t find anywhere in Klaviyo to edit my analytics dashboard such that I can choose to filter statistics by on campaigns by tags. Seems like a feature that just makes sense if you want to see the performance of a certain category of campaigns.I am not sure if I am just not seeing that button and it does actually exist.I don’t want to see the performance of my transactional emails either so I want a way to filter that out.

Increase in unsubscribes

Hello,We've observed a marked increase in the number of unsubscribers across our Klaviyo accounts in recent weeks.Total amount of unsubscribes on one of our accounts (last 30 days)Disclaimer:I am fully aware that this is usually the result of worse content, new segments definitions or something of the sort, and of course that was the first thing I considered, but after doing some digging I quickly realised that this has to be something else entirelyWhy I believe it’s not the content/segments?A couple of things that would support this are:- No changes in our standard sending regime: same schedule, segments and material- No drop in other engagement metrics: other metrics like open rate, click rate, revenue, spam rate etc. stayed similar or even improved- Not on all accounts: only seeing it on a couple of our Klaviyo accounts​​​​​​​​​​​​​​- An unusual spike in daily unsubscribe rates has occurred, even on non-campaign days. We actually manage about 3x more unsubs even on non-campaign days

Click Rate isn't reflected.

Hi everyone,I've recently updated all the flows for one of my client's accounts and noticed that the click rate isn't reflected in the welcome series or the customer thank-you emails, despite some purchases being made and the placed order rate being reflected. I also observed this issue in the second email of the abandoned checkout flow, while the click rate is normal in the first email of the same sequence. Do you have any insights into where the issue might lie?

Tracking New and Returning Customers

I’m trying to find the best way to track new and returning customers each month. However, the answer to this question seems to differ depending on where I get this info in Klaviyo. I’m looking at three places in the following examples to get the new/returning customers in January 2024. If I pull these figures in the metrics tab, I get 1026 new customers. If I pull these figures from the overview dashboard, I get 649 new customers. If I pull these figures by creating a segment, I get 748 new customers. For this I’m including customers who have opened an email in this same month, I would think this value, if anything, would be lower than the value in the overview dashboard, but it is actually higher.  I’m wondering why each of these is different. Which of these should I be using to track new customers?

553 5.1.8 Domain of sender address does not exist - after new website launch

Hello! We recently have had a huge change in bounce rate (25%+). We are a subscription based company who sends emails for daily updates. The new website was released, and then all of the sudden the bounce rate spiked and the primary reason I’m seeing is “553 5.1.8 Domain of sender address does not exist”. Our domain stayed the same, the email it’s coming from is the same, etc.  What am I missing?

Segmentation-sending to an entire list

Hi!I’m used to lighting up my whole list on fire with a killer offer.But now that I’ve read some klaviyo articles on batch-sending and how it’s a thing of the past, I might have overdone it… 😏I’ve sent the same, slightly altered, email to 4 different segments and I don’t really know who I missed on the list (it was a 2+1 sale so I guessed the entire list would want to know about it),also, have I accidentally sent the slightly altered email to the same profiles (there was +1h time difference in send time)?Could anyone link me up or otherwise explain what’s the logic behind segmentations [especially when one wants to send it to the full list]?I know its goal is to increase open, click and lastly conversion rate - for me this works well in theory, in practice I’m lost.  Thanks, Jože

Resolving descrepancies between Klaviyo analytics and Google Analytics

Klaviyo is reporting that one of my campaigns has generated 16 orders resulting in $518.30 in revenue. The same campaign in Google Analytics is reporting 15 transactions resulting in $455.38 in revenue.Klaviyo is reporting 1 more order and $62.92 more than Analytics.My first thought was that a user didn’t get redirected to the thank you page or the user may have opted out of Google Analytics tracking them. I don’t think this is actually the case as I don’t have an order in Shopify totally $62.92.How have you reconciled analytics been Klaviyo and Google Analytics? Are you resigned to the fact that the two will never match? Is there a percentage of error that you’re willing to accept between the two? Any ideas how where the $62.92 discrepancy could be coming from?Thanks in advance!

High Bounce Rate. Blocked by Spamhouse, but not listed in their blacklist.

Hi community!For one of my recent email campaigns the bounce rate was over 3% which is absolutely unusual for this account. Most of the bounces were on comcast.net domain. In the bounce reason I have a lot of “blocked by Spamhaus”. So I checked the IP reputation on Spamhaus and it says “not listed”. This specific bounce reason also happens for other domains, including hotmail.com.How should I approach this?Thank you!
