Hi there,
I created a subdomain (e.g., send.mydomain.com) for email sending and set it up by adding “send” as the name for the NS record pointing to Klaviyo servers. However, I came across the following information regarding BIMI:
Prepare your account for BIMI:
BIMI Group requires several steps to ensure proper use and prevent sender impersonation:
- Implement SPF, DKIM, and DMARC with a policy of p=quarantine or p=reject.
- Prepare a logo that meets BIMI Group’s criteria.
- Trademark your logo and obtain a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC), which is required when sending to Gmail addresses.
Unfortunately, we are ineligible for a VMC because our trademark is registered with an office that is not among the 17 recognized globally. This seems highly counterintuitive, but I’m still determined to add a profile picture to a custom subdomain. I’ve even tried opening a Google Workspace email with another subdomain, but that wouldn’t work since it's pointed to Google servers.
What should I do? BIMI isn't an option, and the only two providers offering this service are overly expensive and exclude the majority of the world.
Is it too much to ask for an avatar on emails? I was able to send emails with an avatar from my root domain via ActiveCampaign, where only CNAME records were needed for domain verification. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
