Create WhatsApp messages using Customer Data and Segments from Kaviyo

Hi everyone,

We would love to use our Customer Data and the segments we have set up to target our guests mobile numbers on WhatsApp. Does anyone know what the most streamlined solution would be to make this happen?

Thank you for sharing this question with us.

The first step to targeting these users is getting their SMS information into Klaviyo. You’ll want to follow our guide here to achieve that. You may also be interested in our guide to collecting SMS consent here.

Once these numbers are in Klaviyo, you can “bake” them into your segment definitions. You can find examples of SMS-based segments here. There’s also a guide on creating a segment of all of your SMS subscribers here.

To streamline targeting your customer segments on WhatsApp using mobile numbers, consider using a WhatsApp Business API integration. It allows for automated messaging and segmentation based on your customer data.

WhatsApp may not be in Klaviyo but it is possible to integrate both.

 

Our WhatsApp marketing platform (charles) integrates with Klaviyo. Once you have a platform like ours, you can bring Klaviyo data into your WhatsApp marketing activities.
