We have a client on WooCommerce who has heard that the Klaviyo integration can be glitchy.

Furthermore, it looks like they may need to use the Legacy API rather than the newer REST API. If you have any background on the limitations of the Legacy API, that would be helpful as well.

Has anyone else been using the WooCommerce x Klaviyo integration and have any insights to share?

Hello @jmr_kt,

Do you mind sharing further details regarding how the integration between Klaviyo and WooCommerce can be glitchy? From my experience many of these glitches were actually caused by users using the legacy connection of WooCommerce instead of the newer REST API connection.

The legacy method of connection from WooCommerce was actually depreciated by WooCommerce themselves which lead to their updated connection method of utilizing the REST API option. Some limitations that were absolved with the V3 Rest API connection method included a stronger connection between the store and Klaviyo. This strongly connection also reduced any excess strain on the WooCommerce store when connected to additional tools and apps such as Klaviyo which was an issue for some.

The major improvement between the legacy connection and the REST API connection was that it now supports and uses webhooks to share information. This allows for near instantaneous updates between WooCommerce and Klaviyo whereas with the legacy connection, these updates were performed on an hourly basis.

I would also love to hear what our other Community members can share on this topic as well!

David
