Klaviyo does not natively track whether recipients open emails in dark mode.

However I would suggest these practices for email design in Dark mode.

• Use Transparent PNGs:

  • Use images with transparent backgrounds, which adapt better to both dark and light modes.

• Avoid Pure Black and White:

  • Use dark gray (#121212) instead of pure black (#000000) and off-white (#f1f1f1) instead of pure white (#ffffff) to ensure better readability and appearance in dark mode.

• Test with Dark Mode Preview Tools:

  • Use email design tools like Litmus or Email on Acid to preview how your emails will look in dark mode across various email clients.

• Inline CSS Styles:

  • Use inline CSS for critical elements to maintain control over how they are displayed in dark mode.
