We have sent out an email newsletter to an opt-in subs base of 1,000 people. We received the following results:

Open Rate: 833 recipients

Click Rate: 2 recipients

So click rate was only 0.20% (2 users out of 833 openers). This is not possible, considering that we have had 8 users subscribing to our service coming from this promotional campaign alone, in that we did not do anything else in terms of campaigns, either online or offline.

Since the newsletter contained two videos, as well as two CTA tabs, can you please advise on which is the link that Klaviyo takes into account for the Click Rate metric when there is a clickable video inside, and how we can mitigate this error in Click rate calculations.

Many thanks,

Irene

Hi @Irene Xenakis! To clarify, any linked content that is clickable is counted towards a click rate. It doesn’t matter if you have 1 link or 50 (but definitely don’t add 50 😅). As far as your conversions, how do you know they came from this campaign specifically? Can you match their info 1-1 to the people who opened your newsletter?

Do you have any UTM parameters assigned to your links to help you distinguish the traffic to your links? Since email content and links are sharable, it’s possible some of the people who opened your email shared it or the links with others not on your list. Where do your CTA links go? If it’s to a general landing page or your website it’s also very possible those other conversions are from organic traffic and not at all related to your email.
