Hello,

We recently migrated the historical mailchimp campaign data to Klaviyo via the Klaviyo integration app and selected the option “Collect open and click data for MailChimp campaigns."

We observe that “Bounced” and “Recipients” metrics  are the same as MailChimp.

But there are data mismatches between “Opened” and “Clicked” metrics.

Why are the data not the same as mailchimp after historical data synced?

Could someone provide some insight into this?

There are numerous of reasons why there are discrepancies between the two numbers but the short answer is because each platform may have different definitions and measurements of how to track that data. Generally, we recommend using the MailChimp integration only to port over your subscribers from MailChimp to Klaviyo instead of using both at the same time. The integration is not designed for long-term use.
