Hi all,

We have implemented the Klaviyo web tracking for viewed products and added to cart events on our Shopify site. The tracking is working but we want to reorder the parameters e.g. Compare at Price shown after the Price. is it possible to re-order the parameters that send from the site to Klaviyo? They are brand, product title, price etc. It seems that they are ordered alphabetically. The code in Javascript is well adjusted but, perhaps we miss something.

Please have a look at the screen capture below as a reference:

Thank you in advance,

Hello @OBDTeam,

Great question!

You certainly can reorder the parameters and the structure of the Viewed Product metric to be passing the metadata in a different order to Klaviyo! Adjusting the order of how the default javascript is formulated wouldn’t impact the data is shared to Klaviyo. This is because those parameters and metadata fields being synced to Klaviyo would all be referencing the data associated with your product and product catalog.

I’m also curious surrounding the use case of wanting to reorder this data; since it has no impact on how the data is shared and synced to Klaviyo for use!

David

Hi @david.to ,

Thank you for your reply.

We only wanted to see it in a prettier way, the Price first then the Compare at Price. What we read is that this tracking will be useful if we want to make Flow based on the analytics data. It might sound too perfectionist, we can accept it if it’s not possible.

Hey @OBDTeam,

Completely understand how this sort of formatting to have Price followed by the Compare at Price would make organization and viewing the data more easily. At this time however, when this data does get synced and recorded by Klaviyo, it will be alphabetized despite reordering the initial front-end data to reflect the desired organization format.

As a perfectionist myself, I’ll share this sentiment and feedback with our Product team!

Thank you for being a member of the Klaviyo Community! Have a wonderful day!

David

Hi @david.to

No worries. Thank you for doing that.

Arpa
