Hi Klaviyo Community,

I'm currently managing email marketing for two brands with the same target audience. One of these brands is performing well with email campaigns, but the other isn't seeing the same success.

I'm considering running campaigns for the second brand under the same Klaviyo account as the successful brand, similar to an affiliate marketing approach. My idea is to introduce the second brand to the existing subscriber base of the first brand.

Is it possible to do this within Klaviyo? Can I schedule and manage email campaigns for both brands under a single account, and if so, what are the best practices to ensure both brands maintain their distinct identities and no harm in klaviyo account?

Thanks for your insights!

Hi @AIDEV-LAB

Thank you for posting your question in the community. This is a little tricky to answer.

Quick answer: If you want to brand your emails independently from one another, then you will need two different Klaviyo accounts. You can link them to make working between them easier.

This biggest issue trying to send to two different brands is your account is configured and authenticated for a specific brand (dedicated sending domain, DMARC, From Address, etc.).

I know you are thinking of using the first brand to “introduce” the second brand like and affiliate, and that may work one or two times, but if you are planning to send ongoing emails, you’ll want a second account. I would expect your primary audience to fatigue on the second brand which they didn’t opt-in for and if they start to engage less, this will hurt the performance of your primary brand.

And if this goes on for a longer period of time, it will have an impact on your deliverability.

I hope this helps!
