I’d like to add dynamic content to campaigns in a post purchase customer flow, and I’m not quite sure how to do it. Here are more details:

  • Subject line: If someone recently purchased xyz product, I want the subject line to recommend xyz product that pairs well with their recent order. For example... The Jeans pair perfectly with your new sweater!
  • Email body: Similarly, if their recent order wax xyz, I want to show a specific recommended product picture, title, and brief description of the recommended product. For example…

Our capsule collection was designed to pair with each piece in the collection, providing you with lots of stylish and versatile options. Here are more stylish pieces that are meant to pair with your recent purchase!

  • Note: recommended items will include item picture, title, brief description of features, price, and CTA button: Shop Now
  • If <recent order: The Jeans>  Show <The Sweater> and <The Tee>
  • If <recent order: The Trousers>  Show <The Blazer> and <The Tank>
  • If <recent order: The Skirt>  Show <The Blouse> and <The Blazer>

How would I go about adding this type of dynamic if/then content?

Hey @EmilyLeDuc

Thanks for asking another great question!

I’m reaching out to one of our template specialist who is an expert on If/Else statements to get an extra set of eyes on this to make sure I give you the best answer. I’ll follow up as soon as she responds!

Thanks Stephen! After doing more research, I’m thinking I might need to use product feeds for the email body, and then just select the applicable category. I’m thinking I would need to build out a product feed for each product. Not entirely sure if I’m on the right track, so I’m looking forward to hearing back from you/your template specialist! :)
