How to suppress current subscribers from the welcome series flow for a new sign up form

Hello!

I’m running a giveaway as a way to gain new newsletter subscribers - but I don’t want to exclude current subscribers from a chance to enter the giveaway.

If current newsletter subscribers sign up via the giveaway sign-up form (which will trigger a thank you email, and then the regular newsletter welcome series flow) will they receive repeat emails of the regular newsletter welcome series flow? Or will the welcome series flow automatically know that those emails had already been sent to those subscribers?

*I wish I knew a less complicated way to ask that question.

@NikkiWhat is the trigger for your Welcome flow?If it is usual setup where trigger is when people subscribe to newsletter list than you shouldn’t have a problem. People can only subscribe to list once meaning they can only trigger and enter this flow only once.
