I just discovered the product feed in one of our flows “broke” some time ago. I want to know when this happened, and to do that I need to view copies of the actual emails that were sent. (Yes I know I could ballpark it based on metrics, but I’d prefer to verify the actual real date)

I just learned that if I go to the flow, and the ‘recipient activity’ and preview the sent email, I will see what the template looks like as of current 😒 I added an image to the template yesterday, but it shows in the recipient activity as if it was sent in emails from 2021, ugh.

Is there a way to view copies of the actual emails sent? And not just the generated previews of what the template looks like currently.

And unfortunately my own Gmail copies from when I triggered the flow don’t help either, because once the product feed is broken then ALL historical email copies appear as broken, even those that were not broken at the time it was sent.

I have just replicated this in one of our accounts and how I have been able to achieve this is by going to a profile I know received the content of the email I want to view and then selected ‘View Messages’ (top right of screen) and then from there you are taken to an audit history of all the communications sent. I just updated my data range then selected the message.

I just updated my data range then selected the message.

No. What you just did is the exact same as what I detailed in my original post… Which just shows you what the template looks like right now.

Test it for yourself if you don’t believe me. Add an image that never existed before to a flow template, and the “historical” message view for that flow template will show that image as if it was part of the template when it was sent weeks, months, years ago.


@stephen.trumble is there a way to get an official answer on this publicly? It's concerning that a "Klaviyo Partner" even answered this incorrectly and doesn't seem to know about this detail. 

Before I even posted here I already searched the forums and help topics and found nothing relevant, which lead me to believe most people are likely unaware of this issue. 

Also please undo Kylie's answer as the "best comment" as I would hate to mislead people to think her answer is correct. I don't know how her comment was marked as best comment, but I definitely didn't do it. 


I would like to know how to view the messages as well. I have put a conditional formatting in my messages to provide coupons based on the cart value and would like to see what coupons the users actually got.

Is there no way to check that?
