This is a great question, and one I love to return to when people consider how to shape their email marketing strategy around one-time email campaigns sent, vs. more evergreen flows. The short answer, is it depends on the brand’s marketing strategy.
Volume of campaigns sent is a big factor in this calculation, and another big factor is if a brand offers discounts at all, and if they do, how often discount offers or sales are done. We had an interesting discussion around this earlier that you might be interested in checking out.
