Hi!
Quick question: will my over all deliverability/email health be compromised if I send text only emails or is it best to have a mix of design and text?

Hi
Thank you for posting your question in the community… and its a great question!
Deliverability is all about how your subscribers engage with your content and how you “listen” to them.
If they are opening, clicking, moving your messages from the promo tab to the inbox, etc. this will maintain high deliverability.
If you are only sending to your most engaged audience and occasionally including less engaged subscribers to re-engagement, will help maintain a healthy deliverability.
Some may suggest having an email be “balanced” with an even text-to-image ratio is best, it all comes down to how your subscribers engaged with your content.
So, I would recommend you test it with your subscribers. Send a couple of campaigns where 50% receive an email that is a mix of image and text, and send the other 50% text-only. Look at the engagement (CTR, CRV, Unsub Rates, etc.), and if you see higher performance with one type, that will give you some insights into what your subscribers prefer.
But, in my experience, you won’t be penalized for simply sending text-only emails, but if the engagement is low and you don’t follow best practices to improve engagement, that’s when your deliverability will be compromised.
I hope this helps!
