We have a ‘sample flow’, which sends to everyone who has bought a sample, aiming to convert into full pack purchasers. I need some help on how to remove people from flow, if they purchase a full pack at any time within the flow.
At the moment, customers who have bought a sample and then bought a full pack, seem to still be receiving the ‘sample flow’ emails!
Thanks in advance

Hi @Nuala
Thank you for posting in the Community!
If someone orders a sample, they go into a flow and if they buy the full pack the still receive mails from the flow, correct?
If this is the case, I would setup at profile filter with “Has placed order “item_name of the full package” zero times since starting this flow like show below:
I hope this helps!
Hi @annasophiefc
Thank you, this is really helpful! The only thing is, the products are not appearing under ‘items’. Could I do the same thing but instead do person has ‘ordered product’, where ‘SKU’ then ‘equals’ select the product? We have numerous different products and I’m unable to select them all within the same filter - would I then have to duplicate this and add the products seperately?
Hope this is making sense!
Thanks again.
Hi @Nuala
Just to add to @annasophiefc response, if a product has not yet been purchased, it won’t appear in the ‘Items’ drop-down of values for the placed order event.
You can still add it within the ‘Select an option’ field - just enter the product name and you’ll see a white cross/blue circle appear. Click on that and it will be added as the item value.
However, when doing that manually, the product name you enter must exactly match the product’s name, so it can be error-prone.
As an alternative approach for your use case, if you have (or create) a Shopify collection that contains all full-pack products, i.e. they are not samples; you could add the profile filter below. So if they purchase a sample and enter the sample flow, they will stop receiving flow emails once they place an order for a full pack (from that collection)
