Hey! So I have a lot of video content that I could turn into GIF’s for email. The issue is that my video files are super large so my GIF has to be like .2 seconds to be an “okay” size for email. Does anyone have any tips on how to make video files smaller?

I typically use EZ Gif for when I create gifs.

Thank you!

Hi @Vbeebs

Thanks for sharing your question with the Community! Happy to help!

You’re completely right, a GIF has to be less than 5 MB in size in order to be inserted into an email. There are workaround to making your file smaller such as:

-Optimizing GIFs
-Compressing GIFs

However, if you do not want to compress your GIF, you can also host your GIF elsewhere, in which case you can use a text box and insert the URL of the hosted GIF in the source code. Additionally, I’d recommend checking out these similar Community threads to gain more insight!

Oh no way! I have always seen the URL option but never dove into it! Okay, I shall check these out!

I suggest these sites to optimize and compress the video as gif.
