The amount of welcome flows sent has dropped by 50% over the past few months, is there anything this could be down to on Klaviyo?
Hi
Thank you for posting your question in the community!
The drop in welcome emails could be caused by a number if things, but I’d start with the source where people opt-in to your emails and where they would be triggered into the welcome.
For example, if you have an integration with an ecommerce platform, anytime someone signs up on an ecommerce form, they would be added to your list. If there is an issue with the integration, that could cause the number to drop.
Or, if you are running popups or other signup forms, check to make sure those are still triggering the way you’d expect. Sometimes if there has been work done on your website, the Klaviyo script can be accidentally removed which would cause the popups to stop triggering, etc.
Or, you may need to do some testing on your forms/popups if your signup rate has dropped.
From an email delivery perspective, check to see if you are experiencing any deliverability issues. Perhaps some of your messages are being blocked/bounced. Do you see any high bounce rates for specific domains? With the new sender requirements enforce, you could see your open rates drop from your emails not being delivered across all of the ISPs. You might also have filters on the flow that are preventing your emails from being sent.
The drop in signups could also be a reflection of traffic or quality of traffic coming to your website. Maybe you’ve started testing some new ads or new traffic sources that are not driving the right leads to your website where they are not as interested in signing up.
Lastly, check to see if your website traffic holistically is down. That could also be impacting how many people sign up and receive your emails.
As you can see there are number of factors that could be impacting how/why your welcome emails are down. I would recommend starting to dig into each of these and see if you can identify any reason why the emails might not be sending.
I hope this helps!
