I’ve been offering a free sample item for anyone who signs up for our newsletter (welcome flow), and with certain marketing campaigns as well. Unfortunately, I just discovered that the coupon I’ve been using allows the person to add an unlimited number of that item to their cart for free (and it is an item that people like to give as gifts, so ordering multiples is pretty normal). I don’t see any way in Klaviyo’s coupon generator to state that the coupon only applies to one of the given item.
Is there a way to do this that I’m missing?
The only workaround I can think of at this point is to create a separate, unlisted free item that the only way to add it to your cart is with the link that is sent out in the welcome email, and link the dynamic coupon to that item. That would still leave the possibility of people being lazy and just increasing the quantity of the free item in their cart rather than going back through my shop and buying the real item, but it would significantly reduce the likelihood of someone ordering a large number of the samples for free accidentally.
My store is on Shopify.
Thank you.
