I tried to insert an 11MB gif via an embed code loaded on an external resource with excellent results.

For this I wonder why a file larger than 5MB can not be uploaded to Klaviyo but can be done via embed?

Hey @Vincenzo Cassese

Welcome back to the community, thanks for asking about image file size

While Klaviyo allows you to add up to 5MB per image/GIF (maximum size limit). We do recommend keeping any image/GIF below 2 MB max to optimize email loading times. 1MB should work fine and is best practice overall. You want to think about load time, especially for mobile recipients who are not on WiFi or those without a fast internet connection, a GIF of 5MB is a huge file and would take a long time to load.

Hope this helps!

@Vincenzo Cassese

As @stephen.trumble mentioned the chance of the image not loading will only increase with the size of the image you're adding.

I'm curious to hear why you would like to load such a big image in an email?

Coming from the Conversion optimization field I know speed is one of the most important elements there is, if something takes a long(er) time to load this just creates poor user experience so I'm curious to hear your business case.
