Hi all, any advice on preventing images from stretching to full screen width on Outlook mobile? I’ve set ‘Image Width” to ‘150px’, set “Stretch Image” to ‘inherit’ yet every image stretched to full screen width. I’d rather not have to create mobile only versions with extra padding for every image in every email.

Hi there @chrish,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for posting regarding Outlook!

Unfortunately, this is an industry-wide problem with Outlook as written in this documentation: E-Mail Looks Different in Outlook. Basically, from Outlook 2007 onwards, Microsoft stopped using Internet Explorer to render emails and instead opted to use Microsoft Word as its rendering engine. This is awful for email marketers and developers who use HTML. Try copying and pasting an HTML web page into a Word document and you’ll get a glimpse as to how Word translates HTML. There is not much control Klaviyo has over how Outlook renders images/styles.

You can try playing around with different ways of setting up the images in your template, but ultimately images in Outlook emails will look different from all other email clients. You can use email preview services like Litmus or Email on Acid to see what your emails would look like on different platforms.

Apologies for that!

Alex
