Hi @PlusMinusco,
Thanks for being a new Community member and sharing your first question with us! Nothing is too basic, so don’t hesitate to ask or search in different sections in the Community for similar questions.
Klaviyo supports two different types of web tracking:
- Active on Site, which tracks whenever an identifiable browser visits your website and
- Viewed Product, which tracks whenever an identifiable browser views a product page on your website
You’ll need to install product page tracking code snippet to your website in order to get Viewed Product visibility. Please check out this guide for setting up Viewed Product code snippets, as each ecommerce platform has different tracking.
After you’ve set up the Viewed Product code snippet, you can create a Browse Abandonment Flow. You’ll need to first include a JavaScript event tracking for a Viewed Product metric - you can view the code and review the steps on how to do this in this article.
Since Viewed Product needs to be installed by the user for their own website, Klaviyo does not have a readymade template for this. Perhaps you could customize a “Product/Sale Announcement” template in this case to pull in the product they viewed and serve up other products that might interest your audience.
Hope this helps to clarify your question!
