Hey Guys,

Does anyone has used some tools to add a custom countdown based on coupon duration in a flow ?

I would like to implement that in an abandonned cart flow for example.

Thanks

Hi @Nico01, welcome to the community!

There’s quite a few vendors that do “countdown clocks” out there, so I’d be curious what others use.  The one that I typically use and recommend for my clients is called SendTric (sendtric.com) which starts with a fairly generous ffree tier, and even the paid ones are fairly reasonable. Take a look and see if it works for you.

Hope this helps!

Hey @retention,

Thanks for your reply.

Does Sendric allow you to have a custom countdown base on sending time ?

Or is it just a countdown that start when user opens the email.

That’s the question I ask myself because if the persone open the email, sees the countdown running but the coupon code is unavailiable it’s pretty deceptive.

What I’m looking for is this

  • Mail is sent with the code for a determine time (ie : 2 days)
  • If the person open the email 3 days later the countdown display is 0 days left

Does Sentric can do that to be accurate for the visitors/clients?

Thanks

Nicolas

Hi @Nico01,

Klaviyo also has some documentation on this:

No matter which tool you choose the important part is that you do add some additional information in the emails to make each code unique and also make the countdown display the amount of time left or if it's over.

The important thing you want to have is a dynamic timer, the way this is done is by adding a send time timestamp in the URL use that to countdown from there and show the time left.

Here are some of the tools you could try:

Below an example of countdownmail.com

Thanks @Omar. It works great.

Just in case anyone needs to do this with Sendtric, I created an explanation post here:
