When do Coupon codes expire?

If I set a klaviyo dynamic code to expire on a specific date, does anyone know what time of day it will expire? For example, if I set it to expire on 10/24, will it stop working at 11:59pm on 10/24, or will it stop working at 11:59pm on 10/23.  Also, does anyone know if it operates in a specific time zone.  Thanks a bunch!

Why Are Some Profiles In My Segment Not Entering My Flow?

Hi,I set up a new segment based on the purchase of a promotional product.  Clients are being added to the segment without any issues (143 to date).  I then set up a flow where to trigger was someone entering this group.  The flow was only made live about 5 days after the segment was set up and activated on 6th November.So far only 20 people have been through the flow but based on the 9 day delay I set up in the flow 69 clients should have received their first email. Could it be that because I didn’t set up the flow after activating the segment some people have missed entering the flow?  And if this is the case how do I manually enter them?

Yes! You can add two different dynamic coupons in the same email. Both dynamic coupons will be generated in your live emails.

If I use the same coupon in multiple locations within a single email, will Klaviyo populate the same coupon code in all locations?

Yes. Klaviyo will store every coupon code until it expires (up to 1 year). This means if you use the same placeholder variable multiple times in the same email, the same code will populate in all locations. This also means if you have a multi-email automated flow series, and you send someone a coupon code in Email #1, you can use the same coupon placeholder in Email #3 and we’ll give your customer the same exact code (unless the code has already expired).

How do I add a dynamic coupon to a link that redirects to my home page?

In your email, select your call to action button. For the URL, add in the following link.https://mywebsite.com/discount/{% coupon_code 'NAME_OF_YOUR_COUPON' %}?redirect=/discount/{% coupon_code 'NAME_OF_YOUR_COUPON' %}You'll need to replace the name of your coupon.

Why do my test emails always say "PREVIEW" in the coupon?

With test emails, it is completely expected to see 'preview' for the code. In live emails though, we will actually show the unique code instead of ‘preview’. If you're concerned, you can send a one time email to yourself to test.

What happens when you exceed Active Emailable Profiles limit?

Hey Team,We are ramping up our usage of Klaviyo and see we’ve exceed our active emailable profiles.  Does this mean that when my BF emails go out Monday that only 2500 of them will be email? Do I now need to upgrade?

What happens if someone loses their coupon code?

If a customer loses an email that featured a discount code, you can view the coupon placeholder value and the unique coupon code sent by viewing the Coupons section of the customer's profile.If you send the customer a personal email containing the same coupon placeholder variable, the same dynamic code populates in the message. If the coupon has expired, a new unique code of the same type is generated for the message.

How do SMS messages fit into flows with emails and non-SMS subscribers?

You can use an SMS message anywhere in a flow that you would use an email action. You can have SMS and email messages both within the same flow. A use case for this would be, for example, if you wanted to send a text that says "check your email for a surprise" and then send an email that contains a surprise. Make sure to split out customers who have not opted into SMS. Recipients who are not specifically opted in to SMS will be skipped in from receiving the SMS message, with the skipped reason Missing SMS Consent.

SMS and MMS are priced differently. The total cost per message is $0.01 for SMS and $0.03 for MMS. These prices include all carrier costs, so you will never be charged more than these amounts for any one message.You can learn more about how SMS and MMS are billed in Klaviyo by taking a look through this Getting Started with SMS Handbook.

Why are my Contacts going into Profiles instead of a List?

HI everyone, I cant figure out how to manage new emails not ending up where I want them to. Buyers of products ends up in profiles where I can not do anything with them, or can I? Created a list for new emails to drop in and a exit intent popup and noticed that some emails still ends up in profiles rather than the list… how can that be if the setting is made to push them to the list? How to transfer all emails from profiles to a list for further campaigns?Example:as you can see there should be 15 people in the list already but there are only 5 and all of them are buyers, not just those who entered email in popup.  Thank You, I would really appreciate your help.

Why is my Newsletter List not syncing with people that filled out my Signup Form?

Newsletter list not syncing with people that sign up using my Signup Form Popup. I'll see em in profiles but they won't get added to my newsletter list. This is quite frustrating, because those sign ups should trigger my Welcome Series sequence. Can someone help me please? Thanks in advance!

How Do You Segment A List From A/B Tests?

Hello, I am having trouble figuring out how to segment a list from an A/B split test from a sign up form. Any advice would be appreciated. I created a split test for a $100 gift card giveaway and $500 gift card giveaway. Right now we are getting more opt in for the $100 giveaway however, I want to find out who opted in for the $500 and who opted in for the $100 and put those into 2 different categories. For some reason I can’t figure out who did what because the data only shows the name of the campaign and not which form they opted into A or B. Does anyone know how to figure this out?  Thanks in advance, Gerald

Some Items and Parent Categories not available

I’m trying to create a segment of people who purchase one of eight specific items. I’m integrating with Lightspeed POS to pull inventory items.I tried setting it up this way: Placed Order > at least once > over all time > Items. But only four of the eight items are available to select. I also tried putting the items into categories, but only one of the four Parent Categories I created is visible. Is a category or parent category NOT available if someone hasn’t purchased it yet?

Why is Product Viewed Not Populating in my Browse Abandonment Email?

Hi all, I’m trying to set up my browser abandonment flow using the provided template, and the product viewed isn’t showing up in the email. On activity feed, i’m able to see what products customers are looking at, so unsure why the info isn’t integrating to the email.Is there an extra step i’m missing here? Thanks,EMily

Segmenting by UTM/Paid Tags?

Besides software like Segment.com, is there a way to simply “tag” users by UTM so that no matter what page they end up visiting on the site, they get dumped into the right email flow?For example, if I have a customer searching for E.D. and clicking through from a paid ad to our E.D. specific landing page, then they click to home, or the product page and end up engaging with a pop-up -- can I tag that customer based on what they came to the site for?We want to ensure our customers receive relevant emails, not generic stuff.

Conditional Split Configuration based on Two Conditions [Example +Did I do this correctly?]

Hey all,Happy Friday (when I am writing this post)!I have set up this flow in my Klaviyo account in order to automate a month-long Email Marketing sequence for customers who placed their First Order.This image shows my thought process. However, I am starting to believe that maybe I did not set this up the right way because for the 3.4% of people who take me up on my offer, it should’ve been a “Yes” no? Instead I have a 100% “No” My worry: if customers who placed the order from Email #1 -- rather than getting a Thank You email (Email #10) after -- are still being sent to Day 2 (Email #2) where they are being advertised on the same promotion as Email #1, wouldn’t that affect their LTV? I’m not sure what I am doing wrong, maybe the first condition is not right? Are we able to make edits to a Flow?  I want to change both the trigger and the list associated with an already existing flow. Am I able to add more than one list to a flow?

New Flow for Welcome Series

I am creating four flows. For each flow there is a segment that was created for when I have someone subscribe. Each flow will get the same first email, but then their will be differences. How should I do this? I want to make sure that one flow is the priority and then other emails will be secondary. I also want to make sure that some do not get more than one email as some will be on multiple segments when they first sign up.

Why is my Exit Intent Pop-up Appearing After Checkout?

Anyone have any suggestions?  Our customer service team is getting e-mails constantly from customers who have ordered letting them know they saw the 10% off pop up.  Not sure if there’s something I’m missing in my setup.

Import CSV to list, what to do unmapped fields

I have several long csv files with customers emails loaded in there, if I import them I see several fields unmapped, is it safe to remove it? Id love to keep them but idk how to handle it.
