I have an Ecwid store as a plug in on my wordpress site and am interested to know more about how to integrate this with Klaviyo - will I be able to have the same integration as say Shopify?

A short answer to your question is yes, you will be able to have the same integration as with Shopify (or close enough), but unfortunately it requires a bit of development work to get there in terms of integrating it with Wordpress-based shopping carts.
To complete this integration, please follow the steps outlined in this guide.
There are then various plugins for Wordpress which you can install as apps and then integrate with Klaviyo to help manage the flow of data (such as Mailoptin, Taggshop, Newsletter Glue and others).
