Star Rating appears for product without reviews

What caught my attention to start this off was a 3.5 star rating on a product of mine (I don’t get low ratings 😅) - which I do not recall ever having someone submit. Double checking the listing and product, it its true that a written review has never been submitted, nor a rating.

 

Why would that be shown in the listing then? I’ve check all filters and searched by product title to confirm there has never been one submitted.

  • No other apps are installed on my site for reviews, no.

I did some digging and found the product did actually receive a review back in March of this year and it was 5 stars.

 

Yet it shows this in the same panel (cropping parts of the screen to keep customer data anonymous)

 

Third Variable

Another curious find is that in the Reviews app in Klaviyo account is that there is No Result Found when I search for the Coffee candle review, the only place I found this was in my email from March when a customer submitted it. So that makes things even more perplexing 😂

 

Fourth Variable

I have been working on SEO for my site since late last year and made a change in the SEO title for the product - from Coffee Shop Wood Wick Candle to → Coffee Shop Soy Candle.  The customer submitted a review for the Wood Wick Candle, so perhaps the change in title is causing an issue even though (I think) the Product Item ID in Klaviyo does not change?

 

Any thoughts or help would be welcomed, this could be fun to dig into further - I have a QA background and am happy to help out with testing bugs and different solutions. Thank you all!

Another finding to add to this oddity - at the bottom of the (what is now available! yay!) Reviews page I’ve added to my site, I see this 🤔
