Testing abandoned cart flow not working

Hi there, 

I was trying to test my abandoned cart on shopify. I added something to my cart and abandoned it, but the email never triggered and says I never entered the flow, I tried this with two different emails. I am also looking at the ‘recent data’ under the shopify integrations and the activity doesn’t appear. I have subscribed and confirmed which does appear on the list. What am I doing wrong?

can you refresh the klaviyo and check out the metric. Should work

It sounds like you might be missing an important step in setting up the abandoned cart flow. In order for the flow to trigger, you'll need to create a Segment that identifies users who have added items to their cart but haven’t completed the purchase.

If you haven't done so already, please follow these steps:

  1. Create a Segment for users who have added items to their cart but haven’t completed the purchase.

    • Go to Lists & Segments in Klaviyo.
    • Click Create List/Segment and choose Segment.
    • Set the condition to Added to Cart and Has not placed an order or similar criteria, depending on your needs.
  2. Add the Segment to the Flow Trigger:

    • In your abandoned cart flow, make sure you're using this Segment as the trigger, so only profiles that match the criteria will enter the flow.

Once the segment is created and added to your trigger, the flow should trigger when someone adds items to their cart and abandons it.

How would I add the segment to the flow? I was using a prebult shopify flow, is this not already done? At the moment the products are pulling through to the preview however when I am testing the emails aren’t firing.

➤First, double-check your integration.
➤Next, ensure the Add to Cart metric is working.

How?

  1. Go to the Metrics tab in Klaviyo's left-side menu.
  2. Search for ADD TO CART. If you find the metric, check if there’s a graph or if it shows no line

 

➤If there’s no line, you need to make it functional first.

➤If the Add to Cart metric is working, go to the Activity Feed and check if your email is being tracked.

Thank you for your help! Integration shows the checkout was started but it seems like the ‘Added to cart’ didn’t pick it up as it shows none for today.

Refresh the integration or browser? I have refreshed the browser and still seeing -
